Incumbent U.S. President Joe Biden, a Catholic, is battling a high unfavorability rating among his fellow Catholics, according to survey data released by the Pew Research Center.

According to the data, neither Biden nor his Republican rival, former president Donald Trump, are viewed favorably by a majority of Catholics surveyed, but Biden is the more unpopular of the two.

The findings were part of a presentation on “Religion and Politics Ahead of the U.S. Elections” by Pew’s associate director of research, Greg Smith, at the 2024 annual conference of the Religion News Association, which concluded over the weekend.

Included in the data provided by Smith, Pew’s late February survey of 12,000 U.S. adults found that only 35% of Catholics hold a favorable view of Biden while 64% have an unfavorable view of the incumbent president.

Biden is Catholic himself, but potentially lukewarm. He is better than Trump, but I really don't want to vote for either of these two, but I will have to begrudgingly go for Biden until we get new candidates in 2028.

Good. As long as Biden loses, I'm satisfied. I think Trump can be a little vindictive, but he's dealing with his situation a whole lot better than I would have, after being unmercifully hounded every waking moment for the past eight years by Pelosi and her playmates.

And, Trump isn't a radical left-wing liberal pinko meathead like Joe is; plus, he still appears to have all his cognitive faculties intact, unlike Biden, who needs a map to help him find his own posterior.

So, let Joe continue to sink; that's just fine with me. I would vote for a colony of bacteria before I would vote for Biden, or any other Demon Rat, for that matter.

Some good news. Our man here in OZ just got through telling a small pub crowd that it's all about to go down. Trump/Flynn military is about to sweep up the last of the bad guys.
From now untill November should be interesting times....

"Notice that Biden’s comment in Tampa wasn’t about Protestants in general. He focused exclusively on evangelicals, and that is because to take a swipe at all Protestants would be to slam the mainline denominations; they are mostly in the pro-abortion camp. He chose a subset of Protestants who are known for their pro-life convictions."

Don't think for a minute they won't go after the rest of the Christians after Catholics and Evangelicals.
He is on a roll!
I was looking at another thread and seen this.
I can't do other things but post comment's.
This got me, Joe is getting everybody!

Think about it. You do not need to waste your vote this year voting for Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum. Invest your vote in party building for a party that isn't already full of swamp dwellers. Biden is a quite anti-Catholic Catholic. Trump isn't much of anything. Neither of them are anchored solidly (or at all) to any enduring morality. Which is to say neither of them can be trusted to do the right thing, even on a good day when they are actually lucid.

I don't know if the MSM is catholic but Joe seems to be looked at differently from outside the US.
People outside of the US seem to see ol Joe as a bit of a problem.

C'mon man! He is the most competent president EVER! He's got the nuclear codes and he knows how to use them.

[shudder]

Actually, I think what is going on is elder abuse as they put him up there, drugged with whatever it is to make him sound half normal, micromanaging everything he says and does.

Well, as I believe in the Jan 6, with thousands of video hours of footage, I will go for Biden, but that will be the last time I will be voting for a blatant Cafeteria Christian, or Laodicean. Trump added to the Bible also. But, in 2028, when the future of this country is less at stake, 3rd party for the win. :) But, if I know that Biden is going to win, by looking at the pollings from both sides, I might go with 3rd party in 2024.

I'm not surprised. Biden did it to himself.

I can only offer prayers for his conversion and salvation.

At the end of the day- that's all that matters.
Well, Biden's first name means "God will add" in Hebrew, so hopefully God adds some conviction to Biden, so that he may change his ways and not be a Laodicean as mentioned in Revelations 3.

Amen! May St. Joseph intercede for his salvation!
Amen to that, and also, may Jesus touch Joe Biden in a way to make him follow the Bible more wholeheartedly. But yes, we need St. Joseph to intercede as well.

He is almost too far gone, as Joe supported the trans movement. However, Saul was one of the most far gone people in the Bible, and he did a complete 180 to become a Christ follower named Paul.

One of the most dramatic examples of a person who was "far gone" but then turned to Christ in the Bible is the story of Saul, who later became known as the Apostle Paul.

Saul was a Pharisee and a persecutor of early Christians. He actively sought out and approved of the killing of believers in Jesus (Acts 8:1-3). However, on his way to Damascus to arrest more Christians, he had an encounter with the resurrected Jesus that changed his life forever (Acts 9:1-22).

After this experience, Saul became one of the most fervent followers of Christ, dedicating his life to spreading the gospel message throughout the Roman Empire. Despite facing numerous hardships and persecutions for his faith, including being imprisoned in Rome and shipwrecked near Europe, he remained steadfast in his devotion to Jesus until his death. Through his writings in the New Testament, Paul's teachings have continued to impact countless lives up to the present day and into the future.

The future of this country will not be less at stake in 2028. In this upcoming 2024 election we have two very bad choices. The only rational thing to do is NOT vote for either very bad candidate.

Do you realize that a majority of Americans think that randomly chosen people from the phone book would do better than the swamp dwellers in Washington? I tend to agree.

We need to build a basis for a moderate third party now. We need to unglue ourselves from hyper-partisanship. That goes on an individual basis as well. People who have voted for The Donald view him more favorably later on. People who have voted for Joe have viewed him more favorably later on. That’s just Stanley Milhouse’s operant conditioning. You naturally stick up for the guy you once chose, whether you should or not.

We are in a situation much like Weimar Germany where the Communists and the National Socialists were neck and neck. People favored one side so as to stop the other side. Dietrich Hildebrand tried to get people to back away from the extremes but the voting populace were already polarized and the middle ground shrank away.

Sadly, the 3rd party never wins. The system is so broken.

Sadly, the 3rd party never wins. The system is so broken.
The Republicans WERE the third party when Lincoln won. All it takes is a good issue and the other candidates being bad ... and people free to vote for the best candidate instead of staying glued to historical choices.

Oh, and Teddy Rooseveldt.

So it will be a huge uphill battle to get rid of the broken failing geriatric parties we have now. But in my lifetime I have seen it work in Poland and East Germany and Russia and other places. We are not 'stuck' except when we willfully keep ourselves stuck in our limited vision and settle for the unacceptable.

I'm serious about the parallel with Weimar Germany. It was hyper-polarization that allowed the Nazis to win. And it could just as well have been the Communists winning with a tiny shift of votes. The middle evaporated. Look up Deitrich Hildebrand and check out his politics for an informative read. He could just as well be a prophet for our times too.
