I will chime in.
I don't believe masturbating is a sin, but lusting while masturbating is a sin.
It can became a sin if you let it become a idolatry.
With that said of you can do it without thinking about women and you reserve it for once and a while it is fine.

I often read on the internet things like: Masturbation is a sin, Masturbation can be a sin, Masturbation is not a sin. Both Catholics and Mormons condemn it and a friend of mine. I Think it is but i want a completely 100 % sure because the Bible does not clearly say.
The nearst Bible passages i now to Masturbation is:

Matthew 5:30
Genesis 38:8-10
very often you will have human representatives tell you on gods behalf that this is bad and so on. why god dos not tell us himself is still a mystery. we have it though that they will tell you what to eat, what to do in bed, wearing hats and being told you have to because it is gods will. i wont have it

Christian teachings aside, what harm does masturbation incur? Even if such an action caused spiritual harm, there are no external costs brought by it. Love thy neighbor, masturbation does not harm your family and friends, only you (maybe idk)

Thus I really can't see the problem. If peace and tolerance are what characterize the Christian religion, shouldn't such a simple activity such as masturbation even be brought up as an issue? There are far more important things to talk about in context to humanitarian needs. I fear that some of you are so overwhelmed by theology that you've become ignorant of such things as the spread of the fatal Ebola virus, mass economic inequality and rampant wars all over the globe.

Hmmm what would Jesus do? Ponder over the ethics of genital stimulation? I think not...

No its not a sin, unless there is lust with it, which is 99.99% of the time.

Lust is a sin, masturbation is not. I highly doubt you're thinking about God while masturbating.
If it doesn't produce any good fruits, then what's the point of it?

Masturbation is a sin for numerous reasons:
1. It's selfish - You're not doing it for the glory of God, you're doing it for the fleshly pleasure
2.It doesn't bear any good fruits - If it doesn't produce any good fruits, why bother with it?
3. If you use any pornography, or lust in anyway, that makes it a sin
4. It's a sin against your own body (1 Corinthians 6:18)
5. It wasn't God's intent for a male to touch, his original intent for sex is for a husband and wife in marriage to produce offspring, a gift from God, while enjoying it.
6. It's addictive

I believe that masturbation is a sin. Sex and love shouldn't be separated and when you're masturbating you're doing exactly that, you're doing a sexual act detached from a relationship built on love. I believe it's essentially a selfish act!

Instead we ought to save our sexual desires for our spouse, and if we're single we should train our minds to think that abstaining from masturbation is “storing up” good things for someone that we're yet to meet.

«The mandrakes send out their fragrance; over our door is every delicacy, both new and old, which I have stored up for you, my lover.» (Song of Solomon 7:13 NET)

Edit: after I posted this I saw that this is in the teen-only section. I'm leaving my post, but alas, I'm not a teen anymore. :)
