If the gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (mortally PERISHING)....

Peace in Christ.

Our God begets us again (by the sincere spoken-in-Christ Word of God) unto a LIVING hope/expectation through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

It is not a “dying-and-going-to-Heaven hope” as currently preached by the word of men that does not understand the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ who already died for us in our place and is alive now so that we may continue to live here in this earth through His sacrifice.

1Pe 1:3-5
(3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively (living) hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

We are to live here in this earth for the duration of this present, evil age unto the “last time”…the last trump…where our mortal bodies put on immortality….the inheritance which is “incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away”…. just as Jesus is in Heaven now.

(4) To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

We are kept by the power of God here in this mortal body until that moment. We are kept here in this earth by faith unto salvation.

(5) Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Our citizenship is in Heaven in this earth….and we are to look for in hope for our Lord Jesus Christ to change/transform/transfigure our mortal bodies to be fashioned like unto His glorious body which is "incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you" which happens at the end of this age as the last enemy to be defeated is death.

Php 3:20-21 KJV
(20) For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
(21) Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Whosoever believes INTO Him (a point that is reached) should not perish (should not mortally perish from this earth) but have AGE-LASTING life until that moment.

It is in this present evil age that we have this life as we wait until the twinkling-of-an-eye “moment” where this mortal body is transfigured to be fashioned like unto His glorious body. We shall not die from this earth but shall abide here (having an age-lasting life) until the redemption of our mortal bodies.

Joh 3:15-16
(15) That whosoever believeth in (INTO) him should not perish, but have eternal (AGE-LASTING) life.
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

He that shall “endure” (hupomenō = to stay under (behind), that is, remain; figuratively to undergo, that is, bear (trials), have fortitude, persevere: - abide, endure, (take) patient (-ly), suffer, tarry behind.

He that shall endure/remain/stay behind unto the end….the END of this age…shall be saved. So this is about remaining/staying here in this earth until the end of this age where we shall then put on immortality thereby circumventing death and the grave entirely through our Lord Jesus Christ who gives us the victory over them.

Mat 24:13 KJV
(13) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Whoever does the will of God “abides” = to stay (in a given place, state, relation or expectancy): - abide, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry (for), X thine own.

Whoever does the will of God abides INTO THE AGE. It does not say “forever” but INTO the age. We continue to live here into this age instead of mortally passing away as does the world and its lusts that people are conformed to.

1Jn 2:17
(17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever (INTO THE AGE).

It is the power of the cross…the keeping of His sacrifice daily…that we believe in and manifests our faith in Him and keeps us standing here in this earth.

But we have a problem here in the churches of men: the enemies of the cross of Christ who are denying its power to those they are “preaching” to. Their end is destruction as they are not inheriting the age-lasting life. They do not understand the gospel of truth as they are only preaching for to fill their own belly….their “god”.
Php 3:18-19 KJV
(18) (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
(19) Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

The good news (gospel) is being hid from them that are “lost”…that is, PERISHING. They are mortally perishing from this earth and are not abiding here as promised because they are only “preaching” for their own bellies….the “god of this AGE”. They preach themselves (seeking their earthly necessities: what to eat, what to drink, what to wear) and not Christ Jesus the Lord. They are having their minds blinded to the understanding of the gospel because of their seeking for these things.

If it is hid from the eyes of their understanding, then they really do not believe. They are preaching the gospel...but without understanding...and are wresting the Scriptures to their own mortal destruction.

2Co 4:3-5
(3) But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (PERISHING):
(4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
(5) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
