If I ruled the world, and I could only cope with that for an instant, I would rule in effective tolerance.

I would bring peace to Jerusalem.

Islam, Judaism and Christianity would faith embrace as the siblings they are.

Israel would be one unified state: the God epicenter of the human world.

If I could be flash emptied, I could give an infinitesimal moment of the understanding that would make that possible: something like a notion in physics of a point without mass, or spatial extension.

What would other people do?

What gifts from God do others see themselves as having, in such a flash frame of reference?

What do you have, in your faith pockets, when God turns you upside down and shakes out the gift fruits?

I would create the Terran Commonwealth, where I would be President with a 8-year term with possibility of re-election and have both executive and legislative power with the ability to appoint judges.

I would establish San Francisco as the capital of the Terran Commonwealth.

I would have a clear, de facto, seperation of Church and State and require all laws to pass the 'Lemon Test'

Divide the continents into republics which would be based upon population, history, culture, and size with the exception of a Quebec Republic, Israel Republic, and Palestinian Republic.

I would also replace the monetary system with a socialist market style credit system.

More than half of Quebec doesn't even want to separate -- why not give Northern Ireland its own separate republic?

I'd probably do things pretty similar to Aduro Amnis (he's a lot smarter than most 14 year olds I know) and then abolish the position of "ruler of the world". No one should have that power.

Well if I ruled the world, I would reset the planet so its all nice and new. Then I would zone an area of the world proportionate to the population as an agricultural zone, and also leave space for expansion. The rest of the world can be settled by anyone who wants to, but I doubt anyone would want to settle siberia or other places like that. Some special agricultural regions would be set aside because of foods that may only grow their. For example : parts of Hawaii would be specifically for growing pineapple and citrus and other subtropical/tropical fruits.

I would establish a world wide language, Chinese, English or German most likely. Most people would live in large densely populated areas, such as the US East coast, Japan, western Europe. Mostly in temperate areas. People of all different cultures would be spread evenly around the world. Everyone would recieve the same basic high school education, with an emphasis on tolerance, understanding, and personal persuit of knowledge. College will be affordable to all, but they will be able to deny admission to anyone who does meet their standards. This way anyone who wants to go to college can, but it doesn't give anyone a free ride.

The economy would allow for private enterprise, but no one would be able to get super rich and no one would have to spend 12 hours working a day in order to feed their family. Minimum wage would be about twice as high as it is now in the United States. The government would also own all agriculture and utilities, but hire private companies to run them with certain restrictions, similar to what some public US scholl districts have done recently to cut costs and appropriate more money to the student's education.

Residential areas would be divided into states proportionate to their population. Each state would work a lot like US states. However, schools would be under a federal administration. Like in the US, each state recieves 2 senators and a certain amount of representatives to be sent to the international congress that is located about where London is. London is made the capital of the world because of its central location. Flights from Japan and California would reach London at roughly the same time.

I'm out of ideas for now.

Certainly any world leader must have as a number one priority an aim to bring about a peaceful resolution to the Israel Palestine conflict. However, I rather doubt whether any world leader who has an interest in getting oil would actually want to see an end to the Israeel Palestine conflict. The reason I say this is because the IS/PAL conflict acts as an effective method for the Western powers to keep an imperial like check on the Middle East. If the world's attention was turned away from the Middle East due to a serious lack of conflict there then oil rich nations such as Saudi Arabia will see no reason to create a monopoly on price fixing. In other words, the Saudi's will up the cost of oil without any fear of the US. Currently both the IS/PAL conflict and the War in Iraq has increased American vigilance in the Middle East and therefore the Saudi's can't really afford to inflate the oil price since they know that America is sitting next door watching.

London already is the capital of the world with New York, Paris, LA, Chicago, Berlin, Tokyo, Beijing, Moscow, Hong Kong and Sydney acting as its pawns.
Did I miss anyother big city out??

I would do as Ego Licet Viscum, but as an addition, establish a law that if ever 2/3 or more of the world agree to change, ammend, or remove any law, it would be done. If the population votes slightly higher than 50%, then a new vote can be taken every two months until the 6th vote to reach the necessary 2/3. After the sixth vote, the results for the vote that included the highest population will be used, and if it is at least 60%, the change will be made.

As another change, all lethal weapons would be made illegal and be destroyed, with the production of such weapons being halted. Anyone possesing lethal weapons would serve jail time (and if you own a gun as an antique, you cannot have ammo for it. You must also be licensed to have the weapon). While a knife is a lethal weapon, it can also be used for non-violent purposes, but a weapon designed to kill OTOH...

The peace of Jerusalem would see us tap a resource greater than oil.
Would see us understand what could lead us away from an oil dependant society.
Would see us regulate the human sensory surges, with some wisdom.
Would see us being blessed with the insight to have fresh technologies.
God is the core reactor of the human project.
Faith in God is the most powerful of all resourcing.
Love of neighbours as self, and all in faith in God: sees all redeemed; and all balanced for sustainable progression.
There is no plane of reality or resource that remains outwith this consideration.

If I ruled the world

God already rules and does a good job as Sovereign Lord. If I had the opportunity to be his executive for a moment I am sure he'd give me some clues as to do with all that power and authority.

Given the end times prophecies etc (I am post trib pre mill), a Christian ruling the world would be preparatory to the final reign of the antiChrist. Only the second coming of Jesus will resolve that dilemma. However a Christian with that kind of power could do things to prepare for the reign of the antiChrist. He could build special hiding places for Christians for instance for the tribulation and he could build checks and balances into the various government bureaucracies to frustrate the implementation of the antiChrist laws. He could also plant Gods people in all sorts of positions in government to ensure continuity. He could encourage missionary activity as much as possible and generally do the job in a way that was the best possible witness to Jesus - helping poor people, ruling with justice and eliminating enemies of God. He could get us out there into outer space allowing for the possibility for Christians to hide out in space during the tribulation or on other planets.

He could be the type of ruler that anticipates the rule of Christ on earth but is realistic enough to know that it will get worse before it gets better.

I suppose a pre trib will have a different view about the notion of preparing for tribulation.

London is the financial capital of the world. More trade occurs in London than in New York or anyother major financial cities like Frankfurt or Tokyo. London Heathrow airport is the busiest airport in the whole world. London is the most diverse city in the world with almost every type of nationality represented here. London is the capital of the UK which happens to be the world's number one trading nation.
