May 14, 2010 I had a baby boy. He came in weighing 7lbs 7oz and was 19 inches long. He is perfect in every way... and a result of fertility drugs.

I thought I had to lose weight to have a healthy pregnancy, but that was not the case. I had a perfectly healthy pregnancy and am nearly 100lbs overweight.

I have PCOS and hypothyrodism (only after being diagnosed for both). Have been trying since october (nearly 3 months), but since I have these problems obgyn wanted to prescribe me clomid. That was last month, but I decided to go to another clinic because I wanted to have follow up scans to make sure I didnt get over stimulated, and this Dr wouldnt do them.

I have an appointment on the 10th to see a fertility especialist, but in the mean time I've taken progesterone to jump start my period after nearly 5 months of not having it.

Hello Molly, since that post, I have conceived my twins sons via IVf through a fertility specialist. They are now 10 months old and a handful! Through faith and prayer we delivered healthy baby boys. Its an emotional roller coaster. I know what you must be going through. We tried for 2 years. Keep your faith. If you ever want someone to talk to about the process of fertility you can message me. Good luck and God Bless!

Thanks for the update! Its so refreshing to hear (or read) success stories. I'm feeling ok at the momment, but I must admit that at times its very frustrating to feel that you don't even have a CHANCE to try it on your own. Not even talking about a BFP, just ovulation really.

Having said that, I feel blessed to for living in a time where science is there to help, can't even imagine going through this decades ago!

I am not on any, and at this time do not think I would want to be if I found out I had fertility issues. However, I would not be here if it were not for Clomid. My parents tried for 3 years before I came along.

To the person who repped me - I am not editing or deleting my post. I have every right to post in this section and I'm not sure why you would have a problem with it. I have broken no rules -me saying I'm not currently takings meds and probably wouldn't take them answers the question in the OP. Also, I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2005 and just recently had normal bloodwork/was told I do not have it "anymore". I therefore do not know if my former diagnosis will impact my ability to conceive or not, hence my saying "if" in regards to fertility issues.
