• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I guess this is a bit general, but I thought I'd post it, anyway. I've struggled w/ED on and off for about 6 years--bulemia and anorexia. I just wanted to put out a note that it's a struggle and offer a place for anyone to talk about it, if they felt so inclined

I had a minor case of bulimia (sp?) a few years back, but I was never addicted to throwing up. I actually hate throwing up (to this day!) I just did it because I'm overweight. But, I can understand how it can be an addiction. If anyone reading this has the disorder, please, seek help! Tell your parents or someone close to you. You can die from eating disorders (if it gets sever enough)!

I don't know anything about it, but I'm glad you folks have a place to be. I've always kind of wondered about it though. For drug addicts, abstinance is crucial for our restoration. That is not an option for ED. So how do you guys get better? I think there must be some lessons for all of us.
