In the Catechism of the Catholic Church Collection, thousands of the Catechism’s citations come alive, linking to the original documents. The collection gets you behind the Catechism’s summary of the faith and into the primary sources themselves. It includes the most important texts the Catechism cites, and so lets you see not only what the contemporary Church teaches, but what it bases this teaching on. You can use the Catechism as a type of commentary on the other texts in the collection—for example, you can find every instance of the Catechism’s citing a certain Bible verse or document of Vatican II. The collection includes the Catholic Lectionary, so the Catechism becomes an automatic companion to the daily readings.

Logos is freeware. Currently the latest freeware version of Logos is 4.6. Version 5 has been available since November 1st 2012 for paying users and will be made available as freeware during the 1st quarter 2013. Logos Bible Software 5 | Installation Guide - Logos Bible Software

You do realize that the Douay-Rheims Bible is less accurate than current Catholic translations--because Douay-Rheims is a "translation of a translation" (i.e. the Latin Vulgate) whereas current translations are based on the Dead Sea Scrolls and other primary sources?

Just because it's "older" doesn't mean it's "better."

lol, the difference in translations is so tiny. As long as it's authorized and you read it, it's fine. In fact, someone responded to you in the other thread about the same thing.

Not necessarily. Actually, using Latin as a stepping stone from Greek and Hebrew actually helps convey the actual meaning better than direct translation. (On a similar note, I read that linguists are using this concept to develop better internet translators)

From what I understand, the DR is actually one of the most accurate translations we have.
