How to define freewill?

As an ontological question, there is no consensual answer to this among philosophers. In practice, however, I know I have my freewill. I can sense it. OT mentions it in Exodus 35:

29 All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought to the LORD freewill offerings for all the work the LORD through Moses had commanded them to do.

The Bible assumes the existence of freewill. 1 Corinthians 7 talks about freedom and will:

37 But the man who has settled the matter in his own mind, who is under no compulsion but has control over his own will, and who has made up his mind not to marry the virgin—this man also does the right thing.
A similar concept is expressed in (BSB) Philemon 1:

14 But I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that your goodness will not be out of compulsion, but by your own free will.
On the other hand, Paul talks of God's influencing our will in Philippians 2:

13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
Ephesians 1:

5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will/
I would define freewill concretely as our freewill faculty/organ in our brain that makes choices when presented with alternatives. Mathematically, let V1 be the function of this freewill volitional faculty. The inputs to V1 are a question (q1) and its possible answers (a1, a2, … a_n). The output is one (a*) of these possible answers.

With V1, I divorce the complicated causes and reasonings from the act of choosing. It is up to us to choose. I agree that this definition of freewill is a bit misleading, as if it is totally free from all external factors and influences. Alternatively, instead of "freewill", one can speak of "sovereign will" or "independent volition". I have my volitional faculty if not my "freewill". Basically, instead of talking about the ontological nature of free will, I restrict myself to only talking about its functional aspect.

Is there freewill in heaven?

Yes, I will still possess my own volitional faculty or independent volition.

By my definition, the volition organ is part of the soul, and the soul is formed when God's breath (spirit) interacts with the body. According to this definition, AIs do not have a freewill unless God breathes on them.

It is the liberty that any dead man has from all the entanglements of this world….. For the yoke of bondage is the yoke of selfhood that one is freed from by being joined with Christ in His death on the cross…. For believers are to believe something and this something is that Christ is the Savior of the world, He became the Savior of the world by being the Head of a new creation of people, this group of people becomes this new creation by believing into their death and resurrection when Christ died and was raised from the dead…. Henceforth they are called believers because they believe what is true, that Christ did indeed die for them that they might be born again into a new creation….

For it is the strength and depth of one believing this that will determine how much of Christ will be formed in one…. For Christ being formed in one is the end all of the Christian faith, for it will determine how much of Christ one will be able to express, manifest and enjoy for all of eternity…. It is that critical of a belief for all things hang on one believing into Christ, for of one would go on with God one must of all necessity believe both in their death and resurrection with Christ, that the old might die and the new come to life….

Ephesians 5:

22 Wives, [submit] yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.
Was this a command from Paul?

Interestingly, in the Greek manuscript, the verb "submit" is not even there. Let's check the context in the previous verse:

21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
As brothers and sisters, a Christian brother should submit to a Christian sister and vice versa.

Strong's 5293: From hupo and tasso; to subordinate; reflexively, to obey.

The verb here is a participle, not exactly a command.

First, Paul pointed out that believers should submit to one another for Christ's sake. With this context in mind, the following verse:

22 Wives, [submit] yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.
Concerning the husband-wife relationship, a wife is to submit to her husband. For the Lord's sake, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, all alike, should submit to one another.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits [G5293] to Christ, so also wives should [submit] to their husbands in everything.
Again, the second "submit" is not in the original Greek but is implied.

Elsewhere, Colossians 3:

18 Wives, submit [G5293] yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.

Here, the verb "submit" is an imperative command.

Now, do husbands need to submit to their wives?

Yes, as we have seen earlier in Ephesians 5:21. In the broader context, we are to submit to one another. In the marriage context, wives are to submit to their husbands. Horizontally, she is your wife. Vertically, in terms of spiritual reality, you and she are both sons of God; you two are siblings. In any case, a husband should consult his wife before making any decision. In the end, it is up to the husband to decide.

Getting exhausted dealing with depression

So I struggle with intrusive thoughts that cause my depression ... I work, I passed my nursing entrance exam but..

I was in an accident, my car was totaled, I have no car and now it's hard getting my son to his therapy( he has autism) I was warned today he could be kicked out of therapy bc he's missed days ( I'm trying not to quit my job)

My daughter was kicked out of daycare bc I was behind on payments and she's regressed in potty training.

I only work part time and can't work much more bc I have to pick up my kids ect. K just feel my hands are tied. My ungrateful parents are back in my home ( my mom is on the lease so I just have to deal with 6 people and 2 dogs in a 1 bedroom. No one pays me any mind or listens to me. It's a mess constantly. My dad doesn't work. Lays on my couch which they now broke. )

I just feel a bit hopeless kind of. I feel I don't have what it takes to get through nursing school. I'll never finish. I feel like I'm failing as a mom. I feel ill never be much.. I don't feel like I'm enough. I just feel ill be in poverty forever..


I do therapy but she doesn't give me cbt work to do just meds. I'm nervous to try meds bc I feel like I shouldn't let depressive anxious thoughts overwhelm me but they do.

Repent and Be Baptized

" In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan.
And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." - Matthew 3:1-12

We see in verses 7, 8 & 10 that repentance, and fruits meet for repentance are required preceding baptism. Now that was the baptism of John, but it set a precedence for the baptism Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19-20, and Mark 16:15-16, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. ... And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned"

It is also inferred in Luke 24:47, " And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." Note, teaching to observe all things Jesus commanded, that belief and repentance come before baptism, as in Luke. #1, Repent, and #2, then remission of sins; which we now go to Acts 2:37-38 "Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." There it is once again, in that order: repent and be baptized.

Then we see in Acts 8:9-24 that Simon the sorcerer believes and is baptized, but is actually not repentant, because Simon seeks to buy the Holy Ghosts power with money. Peter then rebukes him mightily: "But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity." (Acts 8:20-23)

That man did not go down into baptism right. He had not believed with pure motives, and his heart wasn't right. He was commanded to repent immediately. There was no waiting. What a far cry from today when people "believe" but do not repent; they get baptized, but there is no change. And they go on their way in sin. God knoweth if they are no more saved than the world headed to hell, for by their fruits ye shall know them, and there are no fruits of righteousness, nor fruit of the Spirit. Their mouth utters what is in their heart, and if their language is full of filth, that means the heart is also.

Proverbs 23:7, " For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee"
Ezekiel 36:26-27,
" A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them." A truly repented and converted soul will be given a new heart, and become a new creature: the old things are passed away and all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Romans 6:1-4,
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

This is key. Sin is cut off. That means your actions of sin are stopped. I'll share my personal testimony here:
I "accepted Jesus as my saviour" a few times. I had no change of heart, but a little emotional guilt perhaps. I didn't quit partying, or lusting after women, or cussing, or anything of the sort. that was NOT real salvation. There is a belief that is not saving belief as James writes about even the devils believe and tremble, and Jesus spoke in Matthew 7 about those who say Lord, Lord in the end, but He never knew them. Heavy and scary and it SHOULD put the real fear of God in anyone, especially those who continue in sin!

In 1985 I had an encounter with Jesus on my bed at night. I knew He was real, and I was under heavy conviction. I confessed all my sins and received Him in tears. Next day I awoke new and felt new. I immediately got rid of all my satanic and occult books, writings and jewelry. I destroyed artwork of anything depicting Satan, or nudity. I did drugs twice and both times came under heavy conviction, so I quit. In about 3 weeks time my language cleaned up, I'd quit all substances, even cigarettes, and I rejected all temptation, and trust me there were more temptation then with free stuff than before when i had to pay for it! That is real repentance.

Like Romans says, that old self is dead with Christ, and in newness of life means plainly to quit sinning. Romans 6:7, " For he that is dead is freed from sin." Galatians 3:27, "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ." And, if you have put on Christ you must walk in the righteousness of Christ, otherwise you are none of His.

"Down with the old, Up with the new" is often said at baptisms, or some variation of that phrase: maybe "The old life is dead, The new life alive in Christ." But if there is no "new" then the whole thing is a sham. It's really a baptism of no value, and you may even be mocking God. It's not on the people doing the baptizing, or those watching as witnesses - it's all on you who are being baptized. You might deceive people, but you won't deceive God, who sees your every move, and some of the people might be aware you aren't bearing fruit also.

This is a serious matter! Repent, and be baptized! Some say repent is "metanoia" in Greek, which just means a change of mind. No! It means that, but also means to change your mind in a way that correlates in action by doing a 180 degree turn from your sins. Remission of sins means your past sins are forgiven, and you are commanded to go and sin no more.

Romans 3:25,
"Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God"

And here's where we go to 1 John 2:1-4,
"My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him."

And I'm gonna put in 3 John 11 from our Wednesday lunch devotional, because it totally went along with this message written yesterday:
"Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God."

Take this seriously brethren, for sin is a serious matter, and for you to claim one thing, but practice another, your heart has no change, and you are hypocritical. Repent! Repent! repent! And be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the name (singular) of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Let him who steals steal no more. (Ephesians 4:28) Flee fornication (1 Corinthians 6;18) Let it not be named once among you as becometh saints (Ephesians 5:3), Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour (Ephesians 4:25), Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks (Ephesians 4:29 & 5:4) But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; (Colossians 3:8-9)

Are you going to play with eternity, and directly sin against God, who only can save you? The Scripture is clear that those who sin and do these things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. That is exactly what the Scriptures say and they cannot lie, and they do not lie!

Ephesians 5:5-7,
"For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Be not ye therefore partakers with them."

1 Corinthians 6:9-11,
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

Repent means both to change your mind about these things, and to quit doing them. Repent and be baptized. It's not, be baptized and repent. It's not, be baptized and go on living in sin. With the heart man believeth unto righteousness (Romans 10:10) That is Christs righteousness imputed and imparted: imputed by being justified by His blood, put in right standing with the Father, and imparted by being sanctified by His blood and the power of His resurrection by the Holy Spirit that enables us to live holy lives in His righteousness.

2 peter 1:3,
"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue"
His Holy Spirit is holy, and part of true salvation is holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14)

Oh, repeating these things are necessary because some who read and hear these messages repeat the sins they were supposed to have put away and fled from! Fly away from your deadly sins, whose wages are death; and receive the gift of God which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

If you read about Cornelius conversion in Acts 10 we see in 10:22, " Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee." And after he heard the gospel, and even received the Holy Ghost, then verse 47, "Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?"

Now, is there a case where water may be forbidden? John did when he warned the Pharisees who tried to come to his baptism. He knew there weren't coming right. In Luke 3:8 he says " Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham." He also cried "O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?" In other words, REPENT, and be baptized.


Then there's the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8, and Philipp gave a condition, "And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

See? believe with ALL THINE HEART, - so we see the heart again, just like Romans 10, with the heart man believeth UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS. Believeth means,
in a moral or religious reference:
- used in the NT of the conviction and trust to which a man is impelled by a certain inner and higher prerogative and law of soul
- to trust in Jesus or God as able to aid either in obtaining or in doing something: saving faith.
It also means believing that results in behavior changes in line with the will of God as set forth in the scriptures. There must be actions that follow: the fruits meet and worthy of repentance.

Salvation is Faith Alone in Christ Alone Plus Nothing Minus Nothing Acts 13:39, Romans 3:19-28

Acts 13:39 “And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.” Plus nothing meaning you don't have to do anything to be saved, and minus nothing meaning you don't have to stop doing something to be saved (giving up all your sins, live a good life, etc.). The only thing you must do to be saved is Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved Acts 16:31. the simple gospel, Jesus paid it all, we pay nothing all our works are filthy rags before God and can never save us. Living a good life, stopping the sinning, that's not salvation, salvation is Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:19-28 19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Over and over we have clear scriptures saying its faith alone, yet people still come along and say "I still think you gotta have the works" well Romans 4:5 destroys this wicked false teaching.

Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

I decided to edit the post and remove the complicated discussion by saying that I was probably worrying too much. I was asking a question about Google disabling a Google account I created and requiring me to verify the account using someone else's phone to re-enable the account. After further research I found a Google support webpage that explained they limit the number of Google accounts someone can verify using one phone number to prevent spammers from abusing their service. So I think I successfully resolved this by verifying my Google account with someone else's phone number (which Google said was okay to do).

Prayers for Abby, a middle aged Christian woman that she leaves Akashic spirituality & Metatron

Hello folks. I just called my friend, Abby, that I met at a former job that I had (grocery) about the two verses below. Pray that she avoids and is freed from the teachings of Akashic spirituality, syncretism (buddhism + Christianity) and angels, as God told us to trust in Christ alone, and not angel cards. Also, pray that her partner of eleven years treats her with respect, instead of cussing her out, and that if the relationship fails, that her partner may find a Christian teacher to help him form a wholesome Christian marriage with someone. Pray that Abby may let go of this 11 year anchor, and be free in Christ to marry someone who walks closer to God.

Fasting & Feeling Pointless.

In short, recently I felt led to fast and pray for 30 days. I've broken the fast early 2 or 3 times already. At around day 3.

My issue is that I feel so pointless on this fast. Whether listening to the Word, praying, journaling, meditating.... I don't feel like I hear Him. I know others say that they become more sensitive to His voice. I'm not having that experience right now. I feel like I'm checking boxes and not getting anywhere.

We should pray for the Christian believers in Iran. Except for the authorities telling me I couldn't preach in the building or hold meetings, it was actually not bad otherwise. I never looked to see if Iran had forests, and yesterday I was totally away from the computer till this afternoon, so this is more than just a random dream.

"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions" (Joel 2:28)

Old men? I had my first prophetic dream when I was 19! But I had more visions when younger, not a whole lot, but a few.

Senate GOP blocks bill to guarantee access to contraception

The bill – the Right to Contraception Act – would enshrine into federal law a right for individuals to buy and use contraceptives, as well as for health care providers to provide them. It would apply to birth control pills, the plan B pill, condoms and other forms of contraception.

GOP Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins crossed over to vote with Democrats in favor of advancing the bill. [but it didn't reach the 60 for cloture]

Democratic senators have also introduced a legislative package to establish a nationwide right to in-vitro fertilization, which is expected to come up for a vote as soon as next week.

That follows an Alabama state Supreme Court ruling earlier this year that the destruction of embryos could be considered “wrongful deaths.” While the state’s Legislature took action aimed at protecting IVF in the wake of the ruling, Democrats argue that this is only one example of how access to reproductive health care is under threat across the nation.

Republicans have introduced their own bills on IVF and contraception in an effort to prove that Democrats are unfairly attempting to paint them as extreme. GOP Sens. Katie Britt and Ted Cruz introduced a bill called the IVF Protection Act in May, and Republican Sen. Joni Ernst has put forward a separate bill to promote access to contraception.

Asked how her effort is different from what Democrats want, Ernst said, “It does not include Plan B, which many folks on the right would consider abortive services."

The pill, which is a strong dose of the birth control hormone levonorgestrel, prevents or delays the release of an egg from a woman’s ovary – a step that occurs well before pregnancy.

Court Docs: Host of Trump Fundraiser Made Frequent Racist Comments in Workplace, Also Ponzi Scheme


Former President Donald Trump will be hosted at a fundraiser Saturday by a construction equipment magnate who was accused in a recent lawsuit of making racist remarks to his employees, according to legal filings reviewed by CNBC.
Trump is scheduled to attend the event in Las Vegas at the Ahern Luxury Boutique Hotel, which is owned by businessman Don Ahern. The tycoon and founder of Ahern Rentals is listed as a co-host of the event, with ticket prices for couples going for up to $844,600, according to an invitation obtained by CNBC.
In 2022, an employee who worked at Ahern Rentals for 17 years alleged in a lawsuit that he witnessed Don Ahern repeatedly make racist and bigoted statements in the workplace.
The plaintiff in the case, Mark Townsend, was terminated from his job at Ahern Rentals and his suit sought monetary damages “for lost income, lost benefits, lost earnings capacity, and other economic loss suffered by plaintiff,” according to the original complaint. There was no specific monetary value cited, and the case was settled out of court in July 2023.
Among Townsend’s allegations are that he heard Don Ahern say, “We don’t like hiring n------. They are dumb. They are just born that way.”
He also alleged that he heard Ahern say, “If it was up to me, I would get rid of all the n------, Mexicans, and women, because they’re useless.”

Lest you think this is merely the retaliatory claims of one disgruntled former employee:

Mohammed Sami Bakdash, who served as general counsel for Ahern and his companies for nearly a decade, until late 2023, testified during a deposition that he heard Ahern use this language near the end of his tenure at Ahern Rentals.
The deposition was part of a larger legal battle between Ahern Rentals and several companies that accuse Ahern Rentals of participating in a massive, multistate fraud scheme involving the distribution of mobile solar generators. The architect of the Ponzi scheme was sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2021. But a group of companies sued Ahern Rentals in an effort to recover some of what they said was their lost money. That litigation is ongoing.
“Sir, within the last year or so before you left Ahern Rentals, did you hear Don Ahern use the N-word?” Bakdash was asked during the May 24 deposition.
“Yes, sir,” Bakdash replied.
Bakdash also testified that Ahern seemed to take issue with women in the workplace. “Towards the end of my tenure there, it seemed like he did not like ... working with women,” the former Ahern legal advisor said in his deposition.

Citadel and BlackRock back project to start a national stock exchange in Texas to target companies in the “southeastern quadrant of the U.S.”

TXSE Chairman and CEO James Lee said the Dallas-headquartered group has raised $120 million with the support of more than two dozen investors.

The Wall Street Journal reported on the endeavor earlier, saying the exchange is billing itself as a “more-CEO friendly” alternative to the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq in the face of rising regulation and a “disaffection with increasing compliance costs.”

The Dallas Morning News reported TXSE will target companies in the “southeastern quadrant of the U.S.” In an interview with the newspaper, Lee thanked Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for his support and leadership.

Texas man details wife's devastating miscarriage amid state's strict abortion laws

Texas radio host Ryan Hamilton's world was shattered last month when his wife told him she was suffering a miscarriage at nearly 13 weeks pregnant and the fetus no longer had a heartbeat.

But for Hamilton and his wife, the nightmare was just beginning.

Medical records reviewed by CBS News show Hamilton's wife, who asked not to be named, was treated at a Surepoint Emergency Center branch near their home in North Texas. There, doctors confirmed the fetus — their second child — had no heartbeat, according to the records. His wife was prescribed the drug misoprostol, which induces labor and is used for both miscarriages and abortions. Hamilton says doctors told them the medication may need to be repeated, so they were prescribed one refill.

When the second round failed, Hamilton called the Surepoint Emergency Center and explained that the medication wasn't working. His wife returned to the medical center, where Hamilton says a different doctor told her they couldn't give her another refill to continue the process.

"You start thinking about the women that have to drive across state lines. We've heard these stories. And you — just as a husband, you go, 'Is that what we're gonna have to do?'" Hamilton wondered.

Shortly after returning home, Hamilton recalled playing with his 9-month-old daughter when he noticed a missed call from his wife. He found her unconscious in the bathroom surrounded by blood. He carried her to the car and rushed to the emergency room.

The doctors told the couple that the third round of misoprostol was successful. Eventually, she was stable and the pair was able to return home. But the painful process of losing their child is something that will stick with them forever.

"I want people to know that this really happens. My fear is that stories like ours will continue to get told and not believed," Hamilton said. "Everything in her life right now that she's having to do to get better is not just a reminder of the baby that we lost, it's a reminder of what they put her through, and she has to do it every day."

Peace On Earth? Rather Division

Luke 12:

49 I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!

50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished!

51 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division.

52 For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three.

53 Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter

and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law

and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.


Christians above all people should be the least surprised by divisions in society.

While we are instructed to “come out and be separate”, it is a challenge to set boundaries

for ourselves against the world. Among Christians saved by Grace, there must be liberty of conscience

for someone’s social activities. If the body of Christ judges one another based on a political spectrum,

whether left or right, they fail to remain Christ centered in violation of “judge not lest you be judged.”

They have every right to speak against something in society without fear of offense to someone

who deems that thing acceptable. All must follow the godly admonition:

Romans 14:22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God.

Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.

The Golden Rule

Luke 6:

31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

32 But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?

For even sinners love those who love them.


Again, it is acceptable to speak freely about an issue, but directly condemning an individual,

or entire domination based on that issue is an unacceptable violation of the law of liberty.

How much liberty do you desire? I remember in grade school back in the 60’s,

our library had the “We Were There” book series. One of those books featured Patrick Henry,

whose famous quote was “Give me liberty, or give me death!”

So yeah, that is a thing.

How many of you get confused as to what denomination you are actually in?

I've identified as a Catholic for many years and am always ready to defend my faith. However, I sometimes question if I'm truly Catholic.
I've taken so many "what denomination are you" online polls, and each of them indicate I'm more aligned with Anglicanism than Catholicism. Anglicanism leads by just a hair.

I know that online polls may seem insignigicant to many of you however as I evaluated myself, I just feel caught in a dilemma about what side of faith I actually am. I do have things about the Catholic church that I just never could believe in.

My skepticism about being fully Catholic stems from three main issues:
  1. The Holy Eucharist: I struggle to believe the Eucharist is the literal body and blood of Christ without scientific evidence, though I see its biblical significance and feel incomplete without it at Mass.
  2. The One True Church: I view the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and Coptic Orthodox churches as equally valid branches of the one true church, rather than believing the RCC is the only one. We are pieces of the 1 true church.
  3. Canonization of Saints: While I believe in the communion of saints, I'm skeptical about the canonization of some post-biblical saints, like Carlo Acutis. It sometimes seems more like an award system than a proven recognition of holiness.
Because of this, I guess i'm in a state of confusion and I'm wondering if any of you have gone through this or are going through this as well?

Republicans Need to DITCH tTheir Conspiracy Theories

The Republicans need to DITCH their conspiracy theories.
There is no evidence to support them.


This attraction to EXPLANATIONS that seem to explain an event, but do not
carefully examine the evidence, is something that Christians should label
as GOSSIP.

Note that this type of gossip is very common in America today. I'm not
sure why. But I speculate that gossip does not require any of the due process
of carefully hunting for evidence, in order to carefully describe an event.

Note that Alex Jones made hundreds of millions of dollars, by spreading lies
about the Sandy Hook school shooting. He described it as a "Deep State" hoax,
that really, never happened. But it did. Still, millions of people liked to listen
to Jones spin his lies, while he was damaging the lives of the survivors of the
Sandy Hook school shooting.

You will see a similar system of urban legends growing up around the school
shooting at Columbine, by the screwed up kids Dylon and Eric. Try reading the
detailed journalism of Dave Cullen in his book on this shooting.


The urban legend is that Dylon and Eric were rejects of the high school social
life (they were not), who were into Goth and trench coats (they were not), who
were persecuted by jocks (they were not), and who planned the school shooting
in order to target the jocks who persecuted them (this was not their intention).

But the news media covering the Columbine massacre offered up these explanations,
without proof, and the student body at Columbine began to belief these explanations,
as did much of America. But, this was all gossip. The facts, point to a very different
reality.

In modern America, we have gossip outrunning facts. And this makes America
terrifically vulnerable to those who feed "explanations" out to the public, in
social media.

It may seem emotionally appealing for Americans to hear someone say "The Justice
Department unfairly tried and convicted me. And if they can do this to me, then they
can do this to anyone in America."

There is no basis in fact for the story that the Justice department is persecuting
Trump. That is a conspiracy theory. Just as it is a conspiracy theory that the 2020
election was stolen from Trump, through systematic fraud.

Trump has not produced evidence that his conspiracy theories are true.
And until he does, Christians should not be embracing them.
