Busy Bee - Free Pattern!

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've posted in my blog, but I'm happy to announce that I have something new to share with you!

As a tribute to all those busy, buzzing bees that pollinate our flowers and our food, I wanted to make a plush bee. But none of the free patterns I found online appealed to me, so I decided to make my own! I call these Busy Bees and I've made a tutorial so that if you sew, you can make your own! Here's the free pattern, and you can find all the details and the tutorial on how to make one in the attached PDF file!

Here are the two Busy Bees I made so far:

The first one - made with the pattern printed at "Best fit to page". This one was made to test the pattern and is about 8 in. (20 cm) long. Surprisingly, aside from the antennae looking like horns, I liked the pattern already.

The second one - made at 150% size and with improvements made to the pattern. The antennae were reversed and some other small mistakes were fixed. This one is about 12 in. (30 1/2 cm) long.

Both bees are made from minky, stuffed with polyester fiber, and have plastic eyes. They were machine-sewn and have hand-embroidered mouths and cheeks.

This is my second free pattern. You can find my first one, the Floppy Puppy, here: Floppy Puppy - Free Pattern!

I hope you like my cute plush bees and thanks for looking! :):bee:
