Do you remember the Busy Bee plushies, pattern, and tutorial I posted in my blog last year? I've finally made an addition to it that will allow you to use the pattern to make a plush firefly! Here's the free pattern addition containing the firefly pieces, and the tutorial on how to make one is included in the attached PDF file.

And of course, I made one of my own!
It was made at 150% size, about 12 in. (30 1/2 cm) long, the same size as the larger bee. Like the two bees, it's made from minky, stuffed with polyester fiber, machine-sewn with hand-embroidered mouth and cheeks and plastic eyes. I used satin stitches to applique the wing markings, a technique I recently discovered that I love. There was supposed to be a marking on the forehead too, but I made a mistake and had to omit it.
Along with making a tutorial for the firefly, I also made some edits to the original Busy Bee tutorial to fix a mistake and to make it easier to read and follow.
I hope you like my cute plush firefly and thanks for looking!
