Because God Loves Us, He Corrects Us Who Are His Children > Hebrews 12:4-11.

Good morning, here in Massachusetts :) God bless us :) Thank You, God our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and our Lord and Savior and soon-coming Groom.

I keep hearing and reading how God loves us and therefore He will do us good and take care of us and solve our problems. But I do not hear and read much about how because God loves us His children, He corrects us. Plus, people misunderstand what correction really means; our Heavenly Father's correction is not punishment and criticizing us for being wrong, but His grace changes our nature so we become more and more like how Jesus is good and right.

Hebrews 12:4-11 gives us about how God corrects us who are His children. But there is pain in real correction; so we can be tempted to have our attention elsewhere > we can even make a project of criticizing and just guilt-tripping our own selves, as a trick to keep our attention away from actively seeking God for real correction.

But it is clear how true correction gets us perfected in God's own love so we are like Jesus . . . and so Satanic things can not mess with us and keep us deeply suffering and weak.

"Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love." (1 John 4:17-18)

So, God loves us, and He therefore does not want us to keep suffering in various forms of "torment" which come because of various fears; I offer that boredom and loneliness are forms of torment which are connected in some way to fear. And there are different kinds of personality problems which we have because we have not denied self, like Jesus says we need to do > Luke 9:23-24 < and therefore we give too much attention to what is going on with ourselves, or what we imagine might happen to us, instead of denying self and taking up our cross and following Jesus.

But in order for us to become immune to how fear would mess us, we need deep and real correction of our nature, so that cruel and evil emotional stuff can not get the better of us. Plus, as we become like Jesus, we follow His example. Yes, God does so love us, unconditionally, and He does so generously forgive each of us; but this is not only for our own selves, but this is our example, also required of us ! ! ! >

"And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma." (Ephesians 5:2)

And so we need to share with mature Christian people who are helping us with all that God means by this and is able to do in us and among us.

"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32)

So, this is basic > what to get rid of, and how to become loving and generously and caringly forgiving > "even as God". So, by the way, this is included in what being holy is about > being in sharing with God in us having us live and love like this >

"for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13)

So, because God is the One who is able to have us do this . . . God is easily able, because He in His grace is almighty ! ! !

God
richly
almighty
creating
excellence

So we trust You, O God, to succeed in this, all which You are able to do with us all. Glory be to You in the highest, and thank You so much; amen, in the name of Jesus Your Son, for loving us by desiring and doing so greatly in us, no less than Your own best which You can do.
