"(I am in the Father and the Father is in Me .. may they be one as we are) " Which exact scripture is that. Also when you talk about spiritual warfare, does this happen when you are in a conscious state or when you are meditating? If you are not in beta state what is the experience?

1)

John 14

10Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

John 17

20"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one:

2) The attacks happen while in a conscious state . but i am always "meditating" so to speak .

3) if they happen while i'm in beta mode the attacks infect my subconscious and slowly begin to lose control after this i begin to sin a lot . because whatever it is . is trying to use the "sin that sins within me" to control my body .

i think that pretty much sums it up if it be a human or a fallen angel attacking . though there is a huge difference when the latter attacks .

i surmise my experiences of this in beta mode were when lumps would localize on the nerve nodes on my back and it was extremely hard to move . and my mind was so exhausted from the influx of thoughts . try mixing a karmic nerve set and a condemning invader . just doesn't mix well .

the delta as you call it is sometimes the only way to out maneuver them . because it is the only way to pass through the valley of Psalm 23 so long as "He is with me"

and i am so glad He is .

Hmm well, thoughts as far as i can tell are usually organisms . but then there are dead thoughts too .

what did you mean by "LOA" and the "secret " ?

i know of secret places . but those generally are pretty dangerous to the untrained mind .

I recall a video named "the secret" its not effective unless you know how to use it in this dimension . the secret can only be used based on the understanding and depth of the one who understands "the secret"

Hi, interesting comments. Yes the video/DVD is what I was talking about. Very interesting remarks indeed. I never ever heard of the Golden rule but what I know is Napoleon Hill spoke about the Secret in his book written over 70 years ago. Think and Grow Rich.

Hill was a very devoted Christian apparently. But his views were that if you have negative thoughts you will attract negative things. If you have positive thoughts you will ultimately attract positive things. Napoleon Hill interviewed 500 of Americas richest people, Henry Ford,Theodore Roosevelt, President Woodrow Wilson, King Gillette, Alexander Graham Bell, John D Rockerfeller, Thomas A Edison, F W Woolworth, Charles M Schwab. Apparently they all had something in common and he formulated a philosophy of success.

Jesus was apparently well off and this belief is based on descriptions of the quality of his
attire. I think Jesus wants us to be successful and live well, and our families to be comfortable opposed to living a hard life. Wanting nice things is not bad. How you live your life is key here. I'd like to think he wants us to live abundant lives. Sounds like I'm going a little off track from the original post but hey, it all relates to condition of the
human mind. IE Meditation to practice controlling your thoughts to avoid thinking negatively and if such thoughts enter your mind we need to be able to switch them off. That in my view takes blessings from God but also practice via meditation. No human is perfect and we all experience stress, anger and various other emotions. The less of those negative emotions the better! Wallace Wattles a practicing Christian wrote a very interesting book on this very same subject.

the golden rule is the two greatest commandments

Love god with all your whole being

and love your neighbour as you would want to be loved .

now if you replaced God with the pursuit of wealth it would read ..

Pursue money with all your whole being

and treat others as you would like to be treated .

i'm not much into the second one Jesus presented it as a choice: either you pursue God with all your heart or you pursue money with all your heart . you cannot serve two masters .

Though some rich people find themselves worshipping God too . the point isn't what you got or how much, it is where your heart is . what is more important to you? material possessions or God? and how does this opinion manifest in a real way in your life?

that's how i understand it .

Attaching myself to material possessions makes me vulnerable due to the emotional attachment it implies . the emotional attachment is like blood in a shark tank . not something i need . too much trouble .

in that the emotional attachment goes to God so that it is free for human relationships . so that i "love God with all my whole being" and thus am able to love those around me as i would want to be loved .

the two paths give off different ripples in the quiet zone and only in time will people see their fruit . but may not understand that it actually is fruit when it grows to full maturity .

The two things can and should be separated. Material wealth and relationship with God are totally different things. It's the degree in which you pursue things. Putting God first that's the important thing. You shouldnt get the two things confused. Just as we go to school as kids we intend to pass the grades with flying colours. With ambition we put our mind to various things in life and we intend to rise to such challenges and become successful at them. But then would I say, I'm not going to have a desire to pass my exams because I only love God. Love of material wealth is a totally different ball game. Wealth is just one of many things we can pursue in life. Another guy might want to be the best at Basketball. Another at soccer, another might pursue work in information technology. If you make something an all consuming obsession then at that point I agree with you. The bottom line is, what is your motivation for such pursuits. Is it for your own selfish gain or is it for others to benifit. I think we shoud look at the bigger picture here with a broader level of thinking! Agree?

I think it is now clear to the anonymous readers that we are now speaking of the same thing .

its no crime to use God's gifts to excel in the world . more glory for Him . run a good race . fight a good fight in the calling you're given .

just remember as Solomon said:

More wisdom = more sorrow
More money = more sorrow

the more you have the more you are responsible for . always count the cost . the relationship goes better then . (more time for it ;) )

An odd experience this month -- walked around inside a casino just to get some big-city glitz. In the gambling room, the music from all the machines was coordinated to the same pitches, probably to prevent dissonance. But it sounded like church!

How embarrassing. One set of chords, all different sounds based on the same tones. A drone with pulsing beats.

It could be the owners or machine designers knew the power of zoning out. Or they wanted to avoid chaotic sounds. But I'm sure it kept people there longer, playing longer, relaxed in the setting.

Back to the topic.

You too Feelgood . until a later time .

Hi All and especially hi to Michael Collum who I had a lengthy discussion within this very same forum. We were talking about this Binaural Meditation and whether or not it was good
or bad. Although this appeared to be a done and dusted topic it certainly wasn't concluded. After my experiences since December I will firmly warn all Christians and generally all people not to mess with this stuff! I'll explain why very clearly!

Today, we live in a very capitalist society. Many of the New Age leaders of today now focus on self development. The main topics of this self development are health (e.g. weight loss, healing) and wealth. It's a fact that because of Media many people of today tend to focus on cosmetics and materialism rather than genuine substance. People say, if we want to achieve self Mastery then you need to be in touch of your spiritual self.

Point1> They also say we are all collectively individual Gods with God like power. The bible does say we were made in Gods image but people often take scripture and manipulate it to deceive!
The penultimate temptation is what lengths man will be prepared to go to in order to be God. Adam and Eve ring a bell? Does the story about the Angels becoming fallen Angels ring a bell?

A part of that self mastery is being in touch with your spiritual self through "Trance Like" Meditation and shifts in Consciousness. When your mind is at a level of consciousness you are more spiritually open to communicating beyond the physical realm. So according to producers of Binaural beats, you 'apparently' have the ability to shift consciousness faster and make various desirable situations manifest themselves spiritually and attract what you want good or bad.

And don't get this confused: Meditation and dreams can be spiritual. Remember the bible also tells us that people had messages sent to them from God through alternate states of consciousness EG their dreams.

As we all know there are two ways with most spiritual things. Truth and Deception. The bible speaks to us about meditation:

Meditate on the Word:
Meditation can be a helpful tool in spiritual overcoming and growth. It involves concentrating one's thoughts on the Word of God (Psalm 119:99). A person might focus on a biblical principle or doctrine for the sake of seeking understanding. Or, to overcome sinful behaviour or a weakness, meditating on how pertinent biblical guidelines apply to the specific need helps draw upon and
direct God's Spirit.

The apostle Paul gives additional advice about things to focus our minds on, encouraging us to meditate on things that are true, pure and positive (Philippians 4:8).

Achieving relaxation through meditation itself has no religious overtones and is a principle of good health. All one needs to do is concentrate his thinking on a pleasant scene or a pleasant memory, shutting out all distractions.

Misguided and Mystical Meditation:
Based on scriptural passages and some of the experiences of missionaries, we can conclude that many people open their lives up to demon involvement through the embracing of some sin or through cultic involvement (either knowingly or unknowingly). Examples may include immorality, drug/alcohol abuse that alters one’s state of consciousness, rebellion, bitterness, and transcendental meditation (binaural beats)

Now here's the punch line:
In the not too distant past (last year) I barely read my bible. One day I was doing one of these metaphysical meditations and I had an experience which freaked me out a bit. I wont go into details but let's say at the time I wasn't close enough to Jesus as I should have been. I picked up the bible, randomly opened a page and it fell open at Luke 11. Since reading this I've got a lot closer to Jesus. Conclude what you will! You could say that "either this experience was by design or it was a freak coincidence.

However just ask yourself, what are the logical odds of this happening by chance. The page the bible opened up to is displayed below. The answer I was looking for from this forum was given to me through the bible on the random flicking of a page. The first page the book opened at is here:

Luke 11:9-26 (New International Version)

9"So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you. 10For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. 11"Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[f] a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12Or if he asks for an egg, will one give him a scorpion? 13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

Jesus and Beelzebub
14Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed. 15But some of them said, "By Beelzebub,[g] the prince of demons, he is driving out demons." 16Others tested him by asking for a sign from heaven.
17Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: "Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall. 18If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? I say this because you claim that I drive out demons by Beelzebub. 19Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your followers drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 20But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

21"When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. 22But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armour in which the man trusted and divides up the spoils.

23"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters.

24"When an evil[h] spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places
seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I
left.' 25When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order.
26Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first."

Sorry to make you people read so much but I'll conclude shortly.

Evil continues to deceive the world with promises "to make one wise"—"your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil" (Genesis 3:5-6). He claims to be "an angel of light," but in reality only blinds people so they are in spiritual darkness (2 Corinthians 11:14; 4:4).

The blanking of the mind to achieve "enlightenment" includes "transcendental meditation" (TM), the fad started in 1956 by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Many followers believe in the power of "collective thought" —often called the "Maharishi effect"—whereby many people merely thinking the same thing make something happen! It's essentially saying, "Who needs God or prayer when we can rely on our minds?"

We should not confuse the meditation spoken of in the Bible with so-called transcendental meditation. The latter is a relaxation technique based on ancient customs of the Hindu religion and usually involves the chanting of a mantra. Because of that connection, we have to caution a Christian against engaging in it. Putting oneself into a trance like state in order to achieve a goal or to overcome a problem is not the way the Bible reveals a Christian should approach these matters. In reality you are opening yourself up for things to come at you or in to you!

The Right Way
Josh. 1:7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Ps. 48:8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD Almighty, in the city of our God: God makes her secure forever. Selah 9Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love. 10Like your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with righteousness.

If it's evil to use music to help us in worship or contemplation of the Lord, then the psalmists were in trouble! To say nothing of the musicians who walked ahead of the army in the OT.
And what about almost every single Spirit-filled church? Don't tell me the music isn't chosen and performed precisely to affect the emotional state and receptivity of the minds of those present.

If music relaxes us, helps us feel calm and expectant as we ponder God's goodness and loving presence, then that is a blessing.

Binaural beats are simply a discovery that has enhanced the ability of musicians to create sounds which affect the brain more specifically and/or predictably than many other usual methods.

I don't think there is any connection with the occult, it just is what it is.
Of course, that doesn't mean occultists would not use or abuse the existence of such a phenomenon or claim it for themselves, and then if we Christians run screaming from the room we'll lose something that could bless us won't we?
I agree with this.

Well cool. If letting the music affect our minds to open them up to suggestive response of 'worship', let's just go for it all.

I can get my hands on some really nice pills or smoke that will have the same effect. We can partake in some of that before church, call it a holy-smoke communion. Perhaps a trip to the corner store for a bottle of whiskey to wash them down, they aren't called 'spirits' for nothing you know.

We are just calming our minds, making them open to experiencing God. If music can be used to do such things, then we'll just crank that up a bit with other, more powerful, external influences. Nothing wrong with any of that, since we are 'worshipping' after all.

Of course that's all total crap. "Feeling" closer to God, don't make you closer to anything at all. If that's all that's important, is some sensation or feeling, then feel free to trick yourselves as you will. Personally, I'd be concerned if I needed to 'feel' something to make my relationship with Him seem more real. In fact, I'd be concerned that it actually wasn't real at all if I craved some artificial stimulus.

We are already told to come boldly to His throne. How much closer would you like to get? Better yet, how much closer do you think you could actually get and support it scripturally?

Another thing to consider, suppose you do these types of things in churches, and it's so successful that everyone, and I mean everyone, gets those warm-fuzzies all day as a result. You tell each other, it God's love flowing all through us and someone actually believes that, such as that unbeliever who suddenly believes he has now 'found' God.

But they didn't. What they found instead was mental manipulation with a deceptive and perverse label.

So now they are deceived, by you (and you are answerable for it), and they suddenly fall ill and die, thinking they will go to Heaven, then suddenly finding themselves in hell.

Think it can't happen? People are deceived by experiences all the time. The devil is more than happy to give you a feeling if it keeps you in line. Occultists have their 'Jesus' from the Book of Miracles giving them experiences all the time. Mormans are confirmed in their false faith through a 'burning in their bosom'. This isn't anything new. They believe that are close to God because of some feeling. Sound familiar? Feelings are fickle, we should all know that by now. They cannot be a source of reliance, especially in spiritual matters.
