I imagine you might read it again. Or look up the word "humility" in the Bible. I love doing word studies.

All preachers must recognize that it isn't who is impressed with the preacher, but whom the Father brings to Christ. The apostle Paul didn't convert people; God did.

"May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. I love MacArthur's preaching!

My gardening days are no more, but I imagine that's a great book.

He does a good job preaching. I have several of his books.

The square foot gardening book is really good. It's helping me plan a garden for spring. I remember PBS had a series about it eons ago.

I ordered "Cold-Case Christianity" and it arrived yesterday.

It's by J. Warner Wallace, "a devout atheist homicide detective...who applied the same step-by-step investigative process he utilized in his work...to the case for Christianity...and realized he could no longer deny the truth of Jesus Christ". He's written a number of books, looks interesting.

I finished reading this book back in December 2023. It's a must-read for any fellow Christian. Some parts of it made me feel like I was just sitting down with the author, Jack, and chatting with him about current turbulent days.
