Question: On what basis do you even believe that there will ever be a 'one world government'? What exactly does a one world government look like? Will there be a worldwide vote for a single ruler to sit in authority over the whole world?

I'm just curious. I know that the Left Behind series promotes this idea of some 'one world government', but I've honestly never found any evidence in the Scriptures that there will be such a government established upon the earth. In fact, in the very last days the Scriptures are still referring to there being 'nations' upon the earth. That they will individually have 'kings'.

For me, anyone claiming that somehow adopting some 'well being for all' (what are usually referred to as 'socialist' policies) is going to bring about some 'one world government' is likely a false prophet. I don't find any Scriptural support that such a thing is ever told to us.

In fact, the Scriptures tell us that we should treat our neighbor as ourselves. Seems to me that socialist type policies fit that command much better. That we care about, and provide for others as we would like to be cared for and provided for, is, to me, a much more godly practice than this 'independent' and 'better than everyone else' form of governance.

Yes, I read your treatise and I've pretty well read the Scriptures. I still don't agree with your premise. I believe the one world government to be a fairly bogus idea, but we'll see. I've rather always considered the great delusion to be the teachings of men concerning evolution and old earth understanding. Nothing denies the truth of God, at this point, than those two teachings. We'll see how it all plays out.

Humanistic philosophy, sexual deviancy, transgenderism, dependency on government and the panic over climate change are the tenets of this new religion and our institutions of public education are the temples. This fabricated, anti-Bible religion of progressive ideology has already taken over the last two or three generations through the public education systems of the industrialized world. The faculties of which have increasingly been made up of the "priests" of this new morality (against all that is Bible Based) and have proselytized children and young adults into their "progressive religion" right under our noses.

These latest generations are largely reprobate as God describes in Romans, Chap 1. The "Godless" new religion that public education has brainwashed into them has taken strong root and has replaced the God of the Bible completely in their minds. They have been raised by public education to reject the Bible and any Bible-based ideology as racist, homophobic, trans-phobic and xenophobic. Therefore evil and must be done away with. They don’t realize in their folly that they have given themselves over as worshipers of the beast already. A counterfeit morality and a counterfeit "god". Depraved lust, slothfulness, and self-entitlement are the results ensuring that the True God is not retained in their knowledge.......condemning them for eternity.

Why are the conservative pundits missing the point of the left's delusion? Because they are dead in trespasses and sins and are incapable of discerning "Truth" themselves. They falsely apply reasoning to the leftists narratives and are left dumbfounded at the rationales behind their delusion. They seem to be waiting for a logical and reasonable argument from the left. The conservative pundits cannot comprehend the gravity of this delusion. They still live under the misconception that government is supposed to balance out ideas through the American people's election results. Remember when most Christian denominations use to warn against public schools and TV, even the internet when it became popular? Yea, I understand all of that, but this thread is about someone claiming that our accepting some 'socialist' agenda is going to usher in a one world government. Your claim is that the one world government is apparently already here and has always been here because it's nothing more than one's perspective of government. Either seeing it through the eyes of man or the eyes of God. I get all that and there's really no need for you to continue to try and make that clear to me. I also agree with you that there has always been an antagonism between the governments of men and the the government of God. I'm in complete agreement with you. However, I'm asking the OP to clarify 'where' in the Scriptures he finds some foundation to the argument that there is coming some 'one world government'.

The Left Behind series was predicated on a one world government established by the fictional character of Nicholae Carpathia. He was a singular world leader who established a world dominating military/law enforcement force and he ruled over the various leaders of parts of the earth. In the series there was a great deal made about the President of the United States attempting to stand against him. That clearly tells me that the authors were Americans and that's why they picked the American president to be the one to stand up to his rule. If such a scenario played out today, I wouldn't be a bit surprised that our present national leader was standing around like a lap dog to do his bidding. President Trump seems to be greatly enamored of leaders who have some sort of iron-fisted rule over their people.

So, let's just go with my agreeing with you that there is now and has always been a government of men and a government of God. Hopefully the OP will return and answer some of my questions that I have put forth for him as regards this coming 'one world government' that his treatise is all about.

Well, the one-world government fear has been tossed around now for a few decades. While it is true that the European Union is perhaps a stepping stone toward a one-world government, it seems very unlikely that we will see a real one-world government within the lifetime of anyone on C.F. Could it happen by 2150 or 2200? I suppose it is possible, but if it were to ever happen, I suspect that it would take a few hundred years or more.

The EU isn't even Socialist at all, its mainly a Capitalist bloc, with a Liberal element (Liberalism and Capitalism can and have worked hand in hand, in the past, Socialism, though it has its own liberal influences, was more against Liberalism than the Capitalists and as for Communism, that was completely anti-Liberal), in fact, the Socialist arguments against the EU are the strongest, more so than the more popular Nationalistic anti-EU standpoint.

Also while he Cites "Socialism", he then cites more to the "Globalists", which again are Capitalists.

"Globalists" = Capitalistic, free-trade, money making on a worldwide format.

"Internationalist" is the Socialist version, in fact, Internationalist Socialists also have a hatred for "Globalists" and often cite them as Capitalistic and greedy.

The posts also starts mixing Nationalism and theological thought, citing National sovereignty and then biblical arguments, which is the well trodden ground of Nationalists (also world governments, often far from God) using religion (often Christianity) to further a Nationalist agenda.

One of the most absurd modern arguments, is the idea that largely Capitalist movements are being seen as "Socialist", when they're all about free global markets, cheap work forces, free enterprise and the absurd Capitalist "Trickle down theory" (the idea that the wealthy, business owners make more money and profit, they will give people decent pay rises and the money will "trickle down to the bottom", while we all know they give the bottom the bare minimum and keep it all for themselves at the top), they just disguise themselves with a liberal, charitable front and call for greater personal freedoms (believe what you want, marry who you want, identify as you want and have free speech) and choices that do not effect their capitalist economy and wealth.

You sound like someone who has a little better grasp of the terms. I agree with you that there is a lot about socialism, that for a society at large, are good things.

Somehow, our political pundits have taken the word 'socialism', and much like in the days of McCarthyism, turned it into some wicked evil that's going to destroy us if we don't destroy it first. It's one of the issues that often causes me to wonder about how 'christian' America really is? We seem to always need to have something to hate in order to feel good about ourselves. Well a lot of people don't get the terms.

Well terms like Liberal, Conservative, Socialist, Fascist, Progressive and Nationalist are thrown around by many without really re-searching the terms.

Even within those who are well read there is still heavy debate though. Like I personally see Mussolini's Fascism as a form of Socialism (more so in the 1922 - 1934 period, less so after Ethiopia War and assisting Franco in the Spanish Civil war) and even less so when sucking up to Hitler in the 1938 pact of Steel, even though Hitler had Socialist influences too, though less ardent than Mussolini), while at the same time period "Conservatives" were often those who held the views of the "Old guard" of Liberalist thought, for instance the Austrian, Richard von Coudenhove-Kalergi, who dreamed of a Federal Europe and hated racial nationalism and believed in greater personal freedoms and no borders was also an ardent Conservative and Elitist.

Getting too hung up on worldly political ideologies isn't a good attitude for a Christian too have, as we should be defined by the teachings of God, not earthly political thoughts.
