For the first time, birth certificates carry the names of three fathers and no mother

The polyamory world is abuzz with excitement. Next Tuesday sees the release of Three Dads and a Baby, a memoir about three gay guys in San Diego decided to begin a family.

Dr Ian Jenkins, a doctor and the author, Jeremy Hodges, a zoo-keeper, and Dr Alan Mayfield, a psychiatrist, regard themselves as just your average, ordinary throuple. They have two children, daughter Piper, aged 3, and son Parker, aged 1.

“The fact that Piper has three parents is just not a big deal. I have three parents myself — my mother, father and stepmother — and no one thinks anything of it,” Jenkins writes in his book. “Some people seem to think it’s about a ton of sex or something, or we’re unstable and must do crazy things. [But] it’s really remarkably ordinary and domestic in our house and definitely not ‘Tiger King,’” (the sordid documentary series on Netflix about Joe Exotic’s gay throuple).

It’s obviously better to have them raised by a series of mistresses-turned-wives with a few paid off pornstars in between.

Isn't it aggravating when someone resorts to using that old and illogical argument?

If something is wrong, just find something worse to mention and that's supposed to make the first one okay.

I don't have much of an opinion on whether or not the first one is "okay." But I've been around the conservative right long enough to know that their incessant pearl clutching and moralistic paranoia are little more than disingenuous, often cynical tools to keep the fearful in line and the offering plates full. If you're only ever worried about what some outgroup is doing and not what's going on inside of your own house, then you're not really worried about morality; you're worried about control.

Yet we worship a Triune God.... Go figure...

Me: "Dear, having another wife is theologically sound!"

My wife: "Well what about another husband?"

Me: "No Jason Momoa is already taken"

Even the handle sank in after the blade, and his bowels discharged. Ehud did not pull the sword out, and the fat closed in over it.

Looking at the trajectory from unrestricted sex outside of marriage, to no fault divorce, to homosexual marriage, to the transsexual movement, yeah it would appear polyamory and polygamy will probably be the inevitable next step in the brave new world. No doubt a cause for celebration and jubilation amongst the liberals.

The only question is, what will they start pushing after that?

Liberals after all don't have any real reason to deny two or twenty people who love each other from getting married. Their only goal seems to be to break down sexual norms and become even more degenerate than the ancient Greeks.

Polyamory and Polygamy isn't a problem for you?

I generally don't care what other people do as long as they're not hurting
a) themselves
b) someone else
c) the environment

I bet you don't care. But indulge me, as a Christian do you consider polygamy a sin?
