I think so , yes. But sadly , we will have to choose between a Mormon or a Muslim. At least Mitt admits he is a Mormon , and he seems like a pretty solid guy that believes in states rights, and a small federal government.

I do not love Mitt Romney, but he seems ok, and when compared to Obama he seems like a pretty good choice.

"Will his beliefs have an effect"

Sure - just like any other president, his "beliefs" will effect his thoughts. However, since he WROTE "Obamacare" to begin with for Massachusetts, that's probably a predictable path, and in the final analysis it's CONGRESS that will have the major effect on what actually gets done - if anything.

My GUT feel is that Obama will be re-elected.

And remembering God's words - Prov 16:
33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

We'll get the leadership that HE desires for us - hopefully NOT the leadership we deserve. But if we want to think we actually have some control over it with our "Elections" - then so be it.

If obama makes a " gaff " ?

LOL, like maybe telling the Russians to " give him a little time , till after the election " ?

Or maybe calling the supreme court basically nobody's ? or trying to strong-arm the Catholic church into having abortions and handing out condoms ?

I think he has made enough " gaffs " for a life time .

No, Romney being a Mormon is not a big deal. We are hiring a national CEO and CIC, not a role model or a pope. I don't buy that Obama is a closet Muslim, but he isn't doing a good job and needs to be replaced. Romney's not my first choice, but I'm sure he'll do a better job than Obama. I'd hire him.

Two things to bear in mind when predicting election results:

1) Polls of "likely voters" are the only ones that matter. Polls of "registered voters" includes lots of people who won't vote, which skews the result. Rasmussen has the best track record of the pollsters, and he always polls "likely voters".

2) The undecideds almost always break for the challenger. So if polls show the race being even with a lot of undecideds, that means Romney wins.

~ O'bummer bin Biden is not the first anti/non-Christian president of the USA and Romney will not be the second.

I'm not excited about either the Dem or the Rep candidates.

Just learned that when Romney left office here in MA the top 11 state officials in Romney's office bought their hard drive from their computers. Not an illegal act, but an act that shows they don't want the public to see their motivation and how they ran state government. From what Romney said about about some government information that was leaked from the Obama administration, its clear what Romney does as president will be not open to the public. They will hid what and why they do things so they can spin their actions however they want to.

I much prefer government that is open. So I'm not happy about the way Romney would run America.

If you want an open and transparent administration, Obama's is not it. On the whole, they're very opaque and secretive. They leak when it's to their political advantage, even when it's bad for the country as a whole. There may be good reasons not to vote for Romney, but his criticism of Obama's leaks isn't one of them.

A Mormon as possible President of the USA.

Will his beliefs have an effect on what he does as president?

It could make reaching Mormons a bit more difficult.

They could see it as a fulfillment of the Joseph Smith White Horse prophecy, affirming their belief he was a real prophet of God.

Don't you Remember John F Kennedy went through the same thing. This country was founded by Christians. This will make his decisions better. Unlike a Socialist or an Athest. His actions will be founded on The Fear of God. At least I hope. I would rather have Rommney then Obama anyday.

why dont you go look at how he governed as aa Governor. He was marvelous. Unlike the Muslim President we haave who haas been very corrupt
Romneycare was a good move, but he left the state with nearly half a million on food stamps. Over his four years, from December 2002 just before Romney took office to December 2006, just before he left, numbers on food stamps in Massachusetts went from 268,889 to 449,359 an increase of 67.12%.
Compare that with the United States as a whole in this period which went
from 20,520,064 to 26,363,031 an increase of just 28.47%. Not only was
Romney's Massachusetts much worse that the national average, it was by far the worst state over this period.

rather have him then obama because obama lies and alllows abortion and is muslim we need to get rid of obama
Maybe the liars you have listened to are the ones who call him a Muslim. Every President has allowed abortion even the ones who claimed they were against abortion to get Christians to vote for them. Even Romney has back tracked on his anti abortion stance.

How does the bible teaches leaders should rule? Look at the biblical values the bible calls for and maybe vote for a leader with those priorities.

Psalm 82:3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."

Pro 31:8 Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. 9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.
