How do I get onto the Narrow Gate?
JESUS IS THE NARROW GATE!
Mat. 7:14
Because strait is the gate,
and narrow is the way,
which leadeth unto life,
and few there be that find it.
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way,
the truth,
and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
John 6:37
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me;
and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
I've heard YouTubers like Finalcall07, Robert Lyte, Warningthepeople, etc., that say we have to be sinless to enter Heaven.
What they are saying is absolutely true.
Rev. 21:9,10
9) And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10) And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Rev. 21:27
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth,
neither whatsoever worketh abomination,
or maketh a lie:
but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
But the thing is, what exactly is sin? Is there a list? How do we know if we're sinless or not?
This is what God has said Sin is!........No list.
1 Jn. 3:4
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:
for sin is the transgression of the law.
It is a fact you WERE Sinful before your Salvation in Christ.
But now you have been set free from sin.
It is vital for all Believers to comprehend, Jesus came for and Destroyed Sin in OUR FLESH!
Rom 8:2,3
2)
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3) For what the law could not do,
in that it was weak through the flesh,
God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh:
It's all here for you to understand.
Rom 6:1-14
1) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2) God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7)
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8) Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9) Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10) For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11)
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13) Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14)
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Eph. 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Rom 6:15-23
15) What then?
shall we sin,
because we are not under the law,
but under grace?
God forbid.
16) Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17)
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18)
Being then made free from sin,
ye became the servants of righteousness.
19) I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20) For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21) What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22)
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23) For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
I believe in Jesus strongly. He's shown me the way multiple times, even when I was an atheist, Buddhist, agnostic, etc. I always felt him pulling at my heartstrings.
We can run from God like Jonah but once God decides to Draw you to Himself you will come to Jesus, because it is the Will of God that you do.
John 6:44
No man can come to me,
except the Father which hath sent me draw him:
and I will raise him up at the last day.
But I don't know if this is enough. How do I have assurance that I'm saved?
Because, God has promised.
John 3:16-18
16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved.
18)
He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And how do I avoid Hell? I'm terrified of the thought of me or other people going to Hell for all of eternity.
If you are a Born Again Believer in Jesus Christ , you have this assurance living inside of you.......The Holy Spirit.
Mark 16:16
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Jesus said.
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again.
1 Pet. 1:23
Being born again,
not of corruptible seed, - - - - (The Flesh)
but of incorruptible, - - - - (The Holy Spirit)
by the word of God, - - - - (Jesus Christ)
which liveth and abideth for ever.
1 Jn. 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
for his seed remaineth in him: - - - - (The Holy Spirit)
and he cannot sin,
because he is born of God.
From what you have said, you are a Believer in Christ for your Salvation.
But, you never mentioned if you were ever Baptized, (Born Again) (Regenerated by the Power of the Holy Spirit living inside of you).
If you have not been Baptized at this point then do so as soon as you are Physically able.
Find a Church and tell them your situation, ask them if you can get Baptized by them.........I know COVID-19.
Be Blessed
