Oh, I hear ya! I'm not much of a bluegrass fan myself. However, I am a fan of the Cardigans and of Iron Man--so I liked the Iron Man cartoon, but the cover was ..... surprising to me, to say the least!

I must confess something here. In reflecting more upon my teenage years, it has just dawned on me as I again came across this song by Joe Walsh that both it and the video were somewhat influential for me in my formative years, even before I became a Christian. Although this song by Walsh wasn't one I quite understood at the time when it was released on a rather obscure album, I can see now that it's reflective of the way I see the world yet still today, 30+ years later. So, thanks for the early philosophical insights Joe Walsh!

That whole album, Animals, is by far my favorite of theirs. Unsurprisingly, each song title is a different kind of animal (roughly taken from Orwell). But, it's the content, which I take to be a general push back (revelation?) on modern life/politics and the de-humanizing circumstances that breed general angst. In other words, it's existentially pleasing, to me.
