You said, "The logical implications of omnipotence don't match what we see in reality." You don't see that you have declared by your own authority, just what the logical implications of omnipotence are? Nor do you admit to a biased, not to mention incomplete, concept of reality, nor a biased view of what see in that reality?

Then why do we not see non-believers such as myself being converted into believers with a snap of God's fingers? An omipotent being should be able to do this, yes?

Sorry for butting in, but I think it's common for us to imagine what an omnipotent being might be and then compare that being to the Bible. We Christians do things like that all the time; it's called eisegesis, or bringing our theology to the Bible. It's one of the reasons we have so many denominations. What we Christians are supposed to do is exegesis, or getting our theology from the Bible.

So while I believe God could convert unbelievers into believers with a snap of his fingers, when I read the scriptures I see that, in general, he chooses not to force his will on us. What I read is that he created us as free-will beings. It's part of us being made in his image: he has intelligence, free will, and creativity, and he's shared those things with us for us to enjoy.

That's my $.02, anyway.

Able to? Sure, he could if that was his plan.

Notice that you ask the question from YOUR point of view. It seems to me that from HIS non-time-dependent point of view the elect are converted, redeemed and have lived their lives out and are the completed product in Heaven 'as soon as' he spoke them into existence.

Of course, that only works if God is limited by logic.

If God is NOT limited by logic, he could make me a believer with a snap of his fingers without forcing his will on me.

And if the crux of your argument is to claim, "But God doesn't work the way we expect him to work," you can't then turn around and say that my suggestion wouldn't work.

God is not limited by logic. Logic is what it is, because God is logical.

God is logical, so yes, he could make you a believer whenever he wants, without forcing you at all, but changing you.

God is not like us.

(just pickin' at ya)

Because you are only meant to only repeat this or these kinds of lives here, and that will be forever, and that is all you were ever made or created for, forever, etc, and are only here to help others becomes the highest and greatest versions of themselves and go beyond this life here, period.

Therefore I will not try to change what God has already decided or foreordained/predestined, period.

God Bless!

Oh that's nice.

I'm only here to be used as a stepping stone to let others benefit. I'm a doormat.

And then you finish with "God bless," but it seems to me that you've already decided that I've been cursed and nothing is going to change that. Not even God, because apparently, he just doesn't feel like it, since I'm not here to be blessed.

Tell me, are you surprised when I say that I think your religious beliefs are completely and totally wrong when you come up with horrible stuff like this?

You will have no memory of this of course, don't currently have any memory of this of course, which in my opinion just makes it even worse, etc, period, etc...

Anyway, have a very, very blessed life/day!

God Bless!

It's just truth dear... and I do mourn for you and your kind every single day.

But I cannot change what God has already decided, or predestined or foreordained.

But the thing is...

You seem to be okay with this.
What choice do I have?

Oh, I plea with Him on others behalf all of the time, etc, but He just tells me that I don't know specifically who, or how many, or how few, etc, and I've learned to settle myself in that, for now, etc...

Means everyone is still a question mark to me, etc...

I don't think it will be "all" though, for I still know that there still are, or still will forever be, some, who are only meant for others to be or become the best and highest versions of themselves, etc, and will only just be only that forever, etc, for as long as these creations last/exist and are started over, etc, but I don't know how many, or how few, or if it will be many or few, etc, or who specifically will be who, etc, and like I said, I've learned to settle myself with it/that for the most part now, for now, etc...

Our relationship is still ongoing, etc...

Anyway,

God Bless!

Look, I can argue with you, try to convince you, etc, but ultimately, and as I have learned, etc, everyone is ultimately going to have to decide and/or choose for themselves, etc, assuming they ever really truly had that choice to even/ever begin with, etc...

And that's for them/you to discover and/or seek to know/find out, and not me, etc...

God Bless!

You could realise that it doesn't add up, and perhaps re-evaluate your beliefs.

And no, I'm not saying you should be an atheist. I'm just saying you should consider that you may be wrong in some aspects of your beliefs.

That's not what you said before.

As you said in post 527, God's already predestined, ordained and decided for me that I'm going to be an atheist that's good for nothing except serving as someone to be walked all over so other people can win. That's all I'm here for. I'm just one of the millions of conscious, sentient creatures that God created purely for the purpose of being stepped on as others climb over us. We're to be discarded after use, utterly worthless. That's what you claimed, isn't it?

So no, according to your own claims, I can't choose for myself, and your attempts at platitudes come across as insincere and dismissive.

But, it does actually "add up", but trying to explain that to you may take a lot more words, and a great, great deal more time than I may have, or wish to waste here.

God Bless!
