Don't put words in my mouth. (I am familiar with the comedic literature on the topic of sexless marriage.)

You don't seem to be familiar with the idea of a sexless marriage since you keep claiming that the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr having multiple wives implies that he had sex with them.

It is hard to have a discussion when the opposing side is only quoting official propaganda.

It is important when discussing any topic to try and use only what has been proven.

I'm not engaging is a conversation about 'sealings' and I don't care what ceremony was performed. I'm discussing a sex predator.

I didn't see much of the show - but I liked the name of that character.

I don't think they're connected directly; however, it all depends on the intention and context of the user's choice.

CF recognizes that the LDS Church exists - they just do not believe it is a Christian Church.

I disagree - of course - but I'm not going to let it upset or offend. They are entitled to their opinion, and this is their site.

I do agree that being LDS on this site can be kind of difficult. Not being able to post on Christian Only threads for example.

It will be difficult to offend me though and I hope we can have fun discussions going forward.

I'm not sure if you consider the Bible to be an accurate and reliable record of Gods Word, or if you take it seriously and literally. But I have been studying it with a Church group, with two theologians in the group to help us. I started out, thinking the Bible was just a book to teach people morals and guide us to make wise choices so we could live a happy, healthy and prosperous life.

As we studied the Bible, I found it to be just as relevant in our time as it was 2000 years ago, I found the prophesies to be the most amazing as the vast majority have already come to pass exactly as they were foretold. So I'm sure the remaining 10% in the the last book of the bible (the book of revelation) will also come to pass jut like all the others did.

I found, the more we studied the Bible, the more convinced became that it is a reliable and true in every respect. The things that Jesus said would happen to the world, before He returns are far more scary than any Hollywood horror movie. He described His Angel opening the door of hell, and all the Demons coming out and tormenting people for four months.
He said hey will go after everyone who doesn't have the seal of God on their forehead, He said the Demons would inflict unimaginable pain on people and the people won't be able to die. They will try to kill themselves as the pain is unbearable, but death will be removed from them.

This torment will last a full four months, four months may not sound like a long time but it will seem like an eternity to those who are suffering excruciating pain 24/7 and unable to die. The Demons will have a sting like a Scorpion, only much worse. God apparently planned this as a form of punishment for rebellious sinners.

The rebellious sinners, are currently laughing at Christians and mocking God, thinking there is no coming judgement or punishment for sin. But according o the Bible, they are in for a horrific shock.
My neighbor told me he doesn't believe in God, because so many murderers and child killers get away with their crimes. He is a law enforcement officer, so he was referring to all the cold cases where decades go by and the families never have closure of justice.
I told him that God promised to punish everyone according to their deeds. but he argued that God is indifferent if He exists. He said the creator probably created everything and let it unravel as it will, without interfering.

I wasn't able to convince him to join my Bible study group, he kept on dismissing the Bible as an irrelevant old book. I believe some people are born with a gift to believe in God while others can never be convinced, no matter what we say or do.

And some people were always going to resist Gods Word. As Christ said some look and do not see and listen and do not hear. I agree the Bible and God is becoming old school. old fashions and irrelevant and even seen as hateful and trouble making. You hear mainstream celebs claim they are Christians and then say people can come to God anyway they want and deny Christ as the way, truth and life.

We are heading for a showdown, a spiritual war. I think our present state is what it is, is what it has to be for Gods Kingdom to be established over evil. Evil has to run its course, Satan will always defy God and do it his way and will find a 1,000 ways to decieve so he has the world at the moment.

But as Satan is a counterfeit God he denies Gods truth and order in doing so and this can only lead to disorder and chaos as time goes by. But at the same time I think as this polarisation increases and Christians faith is tested there will be great signs of God which may save many.

Just like in times past where people mocked God and Christians testing God and asking Him to prove Himself God always will show who He is with great works and I think as we move closer to the end time there will be great signs that counter Satan and the anti Christ.
