1. I am a slow reader. I used to be a faster reader, but I've discovered that I enjoy savoring the words more. This can be a good thing, but also a bad thing. I read fewer books because of this.
2. I do not like creativity thrust on me. By that I mean, I do not like it when I am given some kind of assignment that involves me having to be creative for someone, like make them something. I am mosst creative when I am genuinely inspired.
3. My 2 favorite restaurants are Cheesecake Factory and Stir Crazy.
4. I want a Siamese cat very much!
5. I like dogs a lot, but I only want one if the whole family can be involved in its care, and that's not likely to ever happen. But that's OK as long as we can have a cat in the house.
6. I love my church, Spring Creek Church, and hope I never have to leave it.
7. The name I dislike most is Jaden, followed closely by most other names that end in -en, Hayden, Kaden, Aiden, etc...
8. My pet peeves mostly have to do with noises: dripping faucet, ticking clock, snoring, gum popping, feet shuffling, clanking the spoon, slurping, etc...
9. My favorite color is blue, but every once in a while a different color tries to take favored status. Blue usually wins out in the end.
10. I am not very vain about the car(s) I drive. I used to be, but I've gotten over that status symbol recently.
11. I love to listen to talk radio. I feel like I'm not alone in my thinking when I hear those voices echoing exactly my same thoughts.
12. I would be somewhat interested in learning pet grooming.
13. I wish I had some kind of college degree, or at least gone to college longer than I did.
14. I was recently told by 3 of the most important people in my life that I have the gift of wisdom. Wow.
15. I have 2 serious medical conditions: epilepy and rheumatoid arthritis. I think it is possible for me to be a healthier person.
16. I don't like the way I look in photographs usually, so I hate getting my picture taken.
17. I sometimes fantasize about being a really awesome musician.
18. I love snow and it bugs me when people complain about it snowing. I seriously don't get that. OK, in March or April, yeah, snow is not so much fun, but in winter, what is it without snow?
19. I am very proud of each of my sisters and my brother. I like being the youngest.
20. Some foods I do not like: sweet potatoes, squash, raw onions, peppers, stuffing, scallops, sausage.
21. I get very sore feet. I was told that this is caused by flat arches. I'd like to see a foot doctor about that.
22. I love to learn.
23. I have a hard time sitting through a sermon or lecture. Even if it is interesting and relevant and I am learning lots, I usually can hardly wait for it to be over with so I can move again.
24. I do not enjoy babysitting. My own kids, I can handle just fine, but I don't enjoy taking care of ther peoples' kids very much. This is the main reason I do not do childcare at church anymore. I wonder if this is OK.
25. I wish I was less shy and more talkative and had more friends with which to have deep conversations. I'm not friendless, but I do feel that my relationships could be deeper than they are.
There we go. That's 25 things.
