Will the Son of Man find faith on Earth, when He returns? - the Faith is most certainly willing!

Hi there,

So this is a word of jubilation to me, I have long thought there was something singularly powerful about the fact that Christ did not simply assert "there will be faith" - rather He questioned it saying
Jesus said:
Will the Son of Man find faith on the Earth, when He returns?
Jesus often spoke in layers of meaning, while He was on Earth, speaking in parables to the people, but only privately revealing it, to His disciples. This is another example: we most certainly should not give up hope, wondering what manner of faith God will find.

In one sense, Jesus is suggesting that there is something greater than faith, that Jesus will be looking for "mercy" not 'faith' and that is certainly true: but who does this pertain to? The leadership of the world, the ones that need mercy! There is a mystery in this: how can the leadership of the world need Jesus, if everything is fine. Understanding the other things that are coming on the Earth as is mentioned in Revelation will help make this clear. Bear in mind that there are other Ages, in which Christ shall return, each one needing a measure of something greater than faith. The point being Jesus trusts that the faith will be there, it will not be gone because He failed to do what was asked.

This "asking" changes as well, Jesus is not going to return and keep asking "Did the Son of Man return, in order to find faith?" and there is a reason for that: belief has already come and gone from the Earth, it is not something that the Earth no longer knows how to do or respond to. This belief is something that Christ can always make faith from, the point being that He desires mercy not sacrifice: He is not going to give us a way to ignore our own faith, that is not how He worked or will work or will work more - a committally hard saying to work. When Jesus said "they know not what they do" one interpretation is that the subtext is "with Earth's belief" - which is agreed with by Revelation that Earth swallows up the water spewed by the Dragon, something it could not do, if there was no belief within the Earth to do so.

But now to the other sense! Jesus was plainly not saying that if there was faith, it would be made to doubt: that is of the Devil! The faith is most certainly willing! This is important, because it points out that the subtext of what Jesus said is often the most important thing about interpretting it. Jesus said "will the Son of Man find faith, when He returns" that is "to Earth" To those on Earth, this is an Earthly saying, because it is the faith of the faith that Jesus will remain where He is until faith has come - faith on Earth has to come! This is what the faith is waiting for! There are so many things that could be said here, the point ultimately being that Jesus wants the faith to come to Him. In other words "will the Son of Man find faith" or will "the faith seek Him out when He returns?" that is, that they may have faith together, on the basis of what can be believed in the One.

See how great this is? Jesus is not ruling the faith out, He is including His doubt, with the doubts of the Faith, that we may be One in Faith.

God bless, your unity!
