Really weird to me that sola scriptura prots completely ignore the parts about oral tradition. Also really weird how they completely ignore and in many cases twist the history about how and why they even have a canonized (albeit butchered, it's not just 66 books) Bible.

I think their position makes absolute sense given that God directly gave them the original KJV. None of the rest of that distraction really matters given the premise that God handed them the original KJV. Or the original NIV or whatever. As to those 'extra books', it is again obvious to them. When they go to the Christian bookstore the Bibles all have only 66 books. So Doh!

Yup. Council of Rome and Synod of Hippo determined the Canon of scripture.
