Why isn't Easter a national holiday celebrated on Monday as others that fall on Sunday are?

Amazing,. Nothing on TV about good Friday but their celebrating everything else. Pshaw!! They should at least be saying on the news, hey it's good Friday and say what that means. I'm not comfortable calling it a celebration maybe honoring the day. I certainly wish he hadn't been given up for us. Or maybe a day of thanks. I asked what he would want from us and for me, whether he suggested it or not, my tv is only on the christian station today. It was on this morning and there was some beautiful things on.

Who is strangling animals and drinking there blood ? The Devil has 2 ways to attack Christmas and Easter. He can trick people into worshipping Santa/Easter Bunny and presents and make them ignore that Jesus is the reason for the season. The 2nd way is saying Celebrating Christ means your celebrating Paganism. Celebrating my daughter's birthday does NOT mean I'm celebrating Hitler just because they share the same birthdate. That kind of reasoning is silly and ridiculous.

We don't know what Jesus birthdate was, and yes I'm sure alot of bad/evil things happened in December and April throughout the history of mankind. But how do you overcome that evil ?

You overcome that evil by celebrating Christ. Celebrating Christ is a GOOD thing. A good way to overcome evil.

Apparently God does not appreciate that attempt.

Jesus is the reason for the season. Keep Christ in Christmas and Easter. I'm sure Satan hates the true meaning of Christmas and Easter and will try and do anything to destroy genuine celebrations of Christ .

There are many people who don't get days off over Easter. The hospitality industry workers, supermarket employees, convenience store workers, retail employees. This is because the Easter period is one of the peak trading periods of the year. Many stores have Easter sales, and are usually very busy. Many in the military don't get the days off because there needs to be staff to run essential services. Also call centre workers need to work their shifts because the calls keep coming in regardless of whether a day is a holiday or not. So if you get time off over Easter, count yourself fortunate, because many don't.

My employer still gives us Good Friday off, as a floating holiday.
