Personally I think movies like these are breaking down the moral fiber of our country. It reminds me of a sermon that talks of how a couple kids wanted to see a movie that only had one bad part in there and yet the father refused, that eve. they got the recipe for the best brownies ever, started making them then the Dad ran down and grabbed a chunk out of the kitty litter and threw it in the brownies, to make a point to the kids that bad is bad! Period.

Here's what the word of God has to say about it.
Leviticus 18:22 – "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
Leviticus 20:13 – "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

I Corinthians 6:9 – "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders"

This is nothing more than a troll post designed to stir up the same old arguement.

You already know the outcome of this thread, I think we all do. People are going to get overly excited, passionate and feelings will be hurt.

Threads like this should not be started. Not because we should not discuss homosexuality openly. But because Jesus would not like the fact that it is created soley for the purpose to stir up anger. We already know there are mixed feelings, the points on both sides have been made 1000 times and infact it is very predictable to guess how many people would respond.

I hope when ever someone creates a thread like this they are really taking a look at whats in their hearts, what they want to accomplish and what the outcome will be.

Thats all I will say on this topic for now on.

It is whats in our hearts behind our actions that Jesus talked about often, our intentions.

I for one am disgusted with the movie concept and have decided deliberately NOT to watch a Heath Ledger movie following Brokeback's release. He, as an actor, used to be a very morally based person... wouldn't do certain scenes cause he wouldn't "want his kids to see it" don't see where it went since than... but movies are getting perverted and disgusting.

I believe that our hearts slowly harden, even as Christians and Godly believers, because we watchcertain movies, play certain games, and listen to certain music. It is a slow process that is not noticed at first. But eventually you look back and say: "I remember when I was young, couldn't watch a movie beyond PG" and are currently watching a rated R movie with a few scenes that just should not be seen.

As a Christian we need to stand firm, we need to fight against the media's attempt to de-moralize our generation, and the generations that follow. Gone With The Wind was a big deal because there was a romantic kiss involved. But it was produced because there were threats of riots in the streets. Point is, back then no one would have allowed the movies we produce today. Movies devoid of a storyline but chalk full of gorey violence, suggest themes, sexual scenes, and homosexual sexual scenes. Whether it is a guy with a girl, guy with a guy, or a girl with a girl, it just should not be seen in any film or publically.

Broke Back Mountain is something many Christians shouldn't even watch, as it goes against everything the Bible says.

I Corinthians 6:9– "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders"
simonthezealot said it, and I will quote it to make a point.

Respect our God, fight for the morals, soften your heart, and refuse to be led into such sin. (though all will sin)

God Bless all.

Why would anyone want to see a movie that glorifies infidelity? My sister wanted to see it, I asked her why would she want to see a movie where both guys are having affairs while thier wives are at home? I think that is sick, having two unfaithful men makes it a love story? Please.

She saw it and hated it. I feel bad that she wasted her time and money.

funny that those quoting mosaic law always seem to forget those little gems of scripture which command us to kill disrespecful children and adulterers, among others.
I Corinthians 6:9– "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders"
homosexual offenders? is this what our earliest copyies say, or did somebody simply put those words in there? given that the greeks had no word for 'homosexual', i find it odd to find it in our bibles.

though it doesn't make my favorites list, christians should watch this movie, as it sheds light on the cruelty we can inflict on others in the name of god. i understand that the film doesnt pit christians against homosexuality, but our 'disgust' with it is certainly rooted in our faith.
