I believe that our hearts slowly harden, even as Christians and Godly believers, because we watchcertain movies, play certain games, and listen to certain music. It is a slow process that is not noticed at first. But eventually you look back and say: "I remember when I was young, couldn't watch a movie beyond PG" and are currently watching a rated R movie with a few scenes that just should not be seen.
As a Christian we need to stand firm, we need to fight against the media's attempt to de-moralize our generation, and the generations that follow. Gone With The Wind was a big deal because there was a romantic kiss involved. But it
was produced because there were threats of riots in the streets. Point is, back then no one would have allowed the movies we produce today. Movies devoid of a storyline but chalk full of gorey violence, suggest themes, sexual scenes, and homosexual sexual scenes. Whether it is a guy with a girl, guy with a guy, or a girl with a girl, it just should not be seen in any film or publically.
Broke Back Mountain is something many Christians shouldn't even watch, as it goes against everything the Bible says.
Here's what the word of God has to say about it.
Leviticus 18:22 – "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
Leviticus 20:13 – "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
I Corinthians 6:9– "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders"
simonthezealot said it, and I will quote it to make a point.
Respect our God, fight
for the morals, soften your heart, and refuse to be led into such sin. (though all will sin)
God Bless all.
