Lol, to be honest, I just want to see if people think this is funny and how far it gets, and what it changes... so if you are offended by that, sorry.

Too many people talk about theology as if it has to be correct.

Too many spirits think if theology is correct it should be right.

This is the beginning of uncleanness, not the end of it.

I also freely admit, that I am interested in what believers will actually say is the answer... so maybe I am contradicting myself straight away... "sure sounds like it"?

I promise to give a scriptural answer, if necessary...

But if Samson was drunk or fooling around with Philistine women, I think Goliath could have come in and whupped him. But then again, maybe they'd hang out at the Gaza brothels together and then get some beer afterwards.

in terms of scifi Samson is like the biblical hulk... the angrier he gets the stronger he gets so he is unmatched.

in terms of mythology Samson is the hero and Goliath is the antagonist and the hero always wins.

in terms of spiritual truth Samson's strength happens when "The Spirit of the Lord [comes] upon him mightily" (Judges 14:6). At best Goliath is a special race of fallen angel offspring called the Nephilim of Genesis 6 but even still is no match to the Spirit of the Lord.

Samson as he is God's annointed. If God is for you then who can be against you.

Also i am glad you are on here. It gives us a chance to brush up on what we need to know. But more importantly. I am sure that after awhile. You will become infected with the worx of God.. Wish you every success in your endeavors..

See now, I side with Samson too, but I have some serious doubts. Beating people up and carrying around heavy stuff is different to taking on a 9ft giant.

My guess is he would have challenged the giant to a bare-knuckle fight, and Goliath would have been slow and awkward mano-e-mano, where as Samson would have had a power punch that would have totally paralyzed Goliath. But something tells me the Lord needed blood for all those insults, so a KO would have been a must.

Yep, keeping your $ on Samson is the way to go for all kinds of reasons. Even 9' giants can't dispatch lions the way Samson did (see Judges 14).
