Do you remember when you read the Law, the teaching in Leviticus and Deuteronomy? There was showbread and libations. Who were they?

The showbread was a special bread made of twelve loaves of unleavened bread, each made of one-fifth of an ephah of fine flour 1,2,3,4. It was arranged in two piles or rows on a special table in the Temple of Jerusalem 2,3,4,5. Twelve pieces of showbread were always on display in the presence of Yahweh or God and replaced on the Sabbath with a fresh batch 2.

Libation is a word used in sacrificial language to express an affusion of liquors poured upon victims to be sacrificed to the Lord 1. Libations formed part of ancient Judaic worship of God in the Bible. Jacob’s altar at Bethel is a place where God spoke to him from a pillar of stones and poured out a drink offering and oil on the altar. In 2 Samuel 23:16, David poured a drink offering to Jehovah as a sacrificial libation 2.

Why did your posts make this thread into a fight about "libation"? What has it to do with the topic anyway?

The thread is about old testament types of Christ, the show-bread, the libation wine, both point Jesus sacrifice, both point in a different way to Christ in the Holy Eucharist? Why do your posts fight against what is a very clear type and anti-type relationship between the showbread and Christ's body in the Eucharist and similarly with the libation wine spilled on the sacrifices and the ground and the blood of the Lord spilled on the cross and the ground? Really, is this just one big war to wage against whatever Catholicism has to say about the Holy Eucharist?
