This is a simple question that I don't believe many people have put much thought into. Who is going to certify the election results with Congress? Unless I am mistaken, it is the Vice President (Kamala Harris) presiding over the certification. Does anyone else see a conflict of interest that could be disastrous, especially if Trump wins?

Not any more than 2021 when Vice President Pence certified the 2020 election.

If Trump wins, she'll certify.

Its only Trump group insiders who float insane schemes where the VP fails to certify.

There are checks and balances for that.

I believe you need a Senator to initiate the proceeding to not certify.
Rules have been changed.

Under the new rules, one-fifth of each chamber would be required to force a vote on states’ slates of electors.

VP Nixon did it when he lost.

During the congressional joint session to tabulate electoral votes on January 6, 1961, Nixon (who presided over the session in his capacity as President of the Senate), presented both the Republican and Democratic electoral certificates [from Hawai'i]. To head off the possibility of a floor objection by Democrats such as Representative Daniel Inouye,[9] Nixon then requested and received unanimous consent from the joint session for the Democratic certificate to be counted and the Republican certificate to be set aside, though he specified that this was being done "without the intent of establishing a precedent".

That's the method set up in the Constitution. Trump and his cronies have been the only ones who tried to corrupt the certification process.

Hubert Horatio Humphrey presided over the certification of the 1968 Presidential Election.

Nelson Rockefeller did the same in 1977.

J. Danforth Quayle also presided over the certification the 1992 Presidential Election which his boss had lost.

Why would this be an “issue” now?

Because some Trump supporters are projecting they way they would act on Harris.

It is worth noting how Nixon acted when he had a real problem to deal with relative to certification. Nixon actually cared about the country and the process.

How difficult would it be for Kamala to find a Senator to initiate the proceeding to not certify?

You mean a fifth of each chamber? Highly unlikely.
Why was the rule changed from one senator to 1/5 of each chambers? Because of the actions of the previous Republican president.

Well I think this was such a resounding win that it won't matter. She'll do it. Nit much can be challenged now.

Why are you creating a question where there is none unless it reflects your expectations of what would happen if Harris, Biden, or anyone but Trump had won? Y'all need to stop. She'll certify because she has character and understands the process. Only someone like Trump would do otherwise. You're projecting.

She absolutely demonstrated her "character" when she abandoned her supporters at Howard University. I don't think you realized how much this country "dodged a bullet" (no pun intended for lack of better words) by kicking Kamala out of office.

I am amazed at the way these conspiracies just keep generating. Even when there's every reason to celebrate and be at peace, they just keep coming. That says it all for me; I really don't need any more "realizations," but thanks.
