I keep reading in scripture about the ends of the earth, so where are they ?
If you ask where, that is easy. You can ONLY go so far north or so far south. There are two north poles one is the axis and the other is magnetic. If you are asking about time that is exact and precise but only God knows when time will end. We can come up with an approximation which is in about 1000 years. I believe we are looking at the year 3029 when there will be a new heaven and a new earth and time will be no more.
  • Renewal and Restoration: The idea of a new heaven and a new earth symbolizes the ultimate renewal and restoration of creation.
  • Eternity: The end of time signifies the beginning of an eternal state, free from the constraints of temporal existence.
The position of the North Pole is not entirely fixed due to a phenomenon known as axial precession or the wobble of the Earth. Here's a bit more detail:

Axial Precession:

  • Wobble: The Earth's axis slowly wobbles over a cycle of about 26,000 years. This wobble causes the North Pole to trace out a small circle over time.
  • Effects: This movement affects the position of the Geographic North Pole relative to the stars, causing a gradual shift in the locations of the celestial poles and equinoxes.

God gave us the sun, earth and the moon to establish time. There is some wobble though so we go by atomic time and correct the clock and calender accordingly as we need to correct them. The wobble is due to the gravitational pull of the planets on each other depending on where they are in their orbit.

If they have to, they have all the math to deal with the wobble but it is complicated and a fifth grade would not be able to understand math that complicated. My son is an computer engineer and He is able to come up with a formula for making the math a lot easier. The spin of the earth is slowing down and the moon is moving away from the earth. He came up with a formula so I could determine the effect that has on the length of the day over time.

YEC love to talk about a 24 hour day but they do not know when or were this day of theirs exists. They do not even know when or where the first day was. At the north pole a day is actually 6 months and there is only one day in a year. The south pole does have time though.

  • UTC: Officially, the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station operates on New Zealand Standard Time (NZST) and New Zealand Daylight Time (NZDT), which is UTC+12:00 and UTC+13:00 respectively.
  • Practical Consideration: This choice is primarily for practical reasons, as flights and supplies to the South Pole come from Christchurch, New Zealand.

Seasonal Time:

  • 24-Hour Day/Night: The South Pole experiences continuous daylight for six months during the summer and continuous darkness for six months during the winter. This makes the traditional concept of time less relevant.

It could be the term originated from Pangea.
The theory of continental drift Proposed by Alfred Wegener in 1912 was replaced by the more comprehensive theory of plate tectonics. Developed in the 1960s.
