The second Ash Wednesday begins? After the imposition of Ashes? Midnight on Wednesday?

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. I do not have this information from any official source, but I have always been under the impression that Lent begins at the midnight that divides Shrove Tuesday from Ash Wednesday. In other words, every second of Ash Wednesday would be technically a part of Lent.

Never been to Mardi Gras, but its my understanding that the partying stops at 12 midnight.
