what facts?

-

The facts that every indictment--including the two multi-count federal indictments that Trump received immunity (which we all know is not the same as an innocent verdict) from prosecution for--were based on enough facts to get a grand jury indictment and, in many cases, a conviction.

The fact that Jack Smith presented a 109-page report of the voluminous evidence he had accumulated in the Trump 1/6 case.

On the other hand, there have been massive layoffs in the DOJ and FBI, based on the assignments which the employees were assigned. Blackballed and fired because they performed their jobs well.

Hunter Biden, prosecuted for a "crime" that is not prosecuted 299 out of 300 times, surrounded by bloodthirsty Republicans trying to make his very minor offense equivalent to Trump's 93 indictments in four separate jurisdictions, was weaponization.

Calls to arrest Adam Schiff, Liz Cheney, Kinzinger--because they were members of a committee investigating 1/6--is pure weaponization.

Listen to the words and look at the history of the person who is heading the FBI. I cannot imagine anyone less qualified to administer "justice."

All of your "facts" are coming from a very partisan liberal point of view.

the author included multiple people to be at fault. Not only just Pelosi.
He included the DC mayor, Pelosi, and the House Sergeant at Arms. He neglected to mention anybody associated with the Senate, such as McConnell and the Senate Sergeant at Arms. Because he’s a liar and a hack.

He's not a liar. He's not a hack. He presented a several facts and questions that ought to be seriously considered.

The author is quoting from reliable sources. Whether or not you choose to consider the honesty of those questions and sources is up to you.

I stopped reading at the byline (though the link should have been enough). That assessment has been confirmed by the other posters.

There is ample video of the insurrection--Hawley running for his life--and Trump's deliberate, calculated inaction.
And you believe propaganda and demagoguery from unreliable sources.

Then why did he not include McConnell and the Senate Sergeant at Arms, when they were equally, if not more responsible, than anyone he listed? In fact, why did he include the DC Mayor, who had zero authority over the security at the Capitol building (he has responsibility for the DC Police, who had no authority at the Capitol building, which is protected by the Capitol Police)? Why is the FBI not mentioned, particularly for the lack of intelligence that they shared with those at the Capitol and the Capitol Police?

From what I can see, he presented a bunch of one sided information and asked leading questions based on that one sided information, in order to keep people from realizing that Republicans were equally at fault.

Nancy Pelosi is responsible for the violence and destruction that never happened.
Got it.

Oh come on, she was blamed for the longest government shutdown in history, 22 Dec 18 to 25 Jan 19, even though she didn't become Speaker until 2 weeks after it started. Why do you think anything matters, the truth is what you are told.

Were you there, or is your information media-driven?
And people wonder why fact-based people who come here inevitably move from the creationism threads to the news and politics threads.

I have no time or interest in the insurrectionists and gas-lighters. We've debunked all of this junk over and over and the garbage legal filings filled with falsehoods from before Jan 6th. They can all take a leap. The lawyers with the false filings, the politicians who repeated them, or worse, propagated garbage legal theories in court, the media people and activists who ginned up the crowd and lie about it afterward.

In other words, you are fully invested in believing everything that liberal politicians and liberal judges and liberal media have been telling you about this topic.

Isn't the DC mayor supposed to be one of the civilian authorities in charge of the DC National Guard? Also, the questions regarding the FBI are indeed asked in the OP article.

As of Jan 6, the DC mayor was not able to command the DC National Guard. It appears that may have changed in 2023. And the point remains that they try to blame Pelosi for the lack of protection at the Capitol building when Sen. McConnell had just as much authority.

qUIT putting words in my mouth. It is a dirty tactic.

It don't matter what politicians say about jan 6th, because I don't get my info from them at all.

There are "liberal" judges and "conservative" judges who tried Jan 6th cases. They are not "providers of information" either. They oversee the cases in which evidentiary filings are made. How many evidentiary filings in Jan 6th cases have you read? I've read dozens perhaps hundreds.

As for media, I don't follow "media outlets", but on this case, specific reporters who cover it. I don't know what there political leanings were except that none seemed to be "hard-core MAGA". They reported it as an important news story. A couple were local DC TV news reporters (one later moved to CBS as more of a Congressional reporter), some reported for outlets focused on crime and law issues, others were with "national" outlets. I followed the trials and hearings for many defendants. And I watch hundreds of hours of Capitol violence footage starting with the live footage and not stopping for days.

I'm not going to bother with the outlets that have been lying to you and gaslighting you for 4 years, nor do I feel like doing specific debunks of claims I have refuted again and again on this very board.
