What sort of clothes will we wear in heaven?

Not sure if this is the correct place to put this. When we get to heaven (or on the New Earth, for that matter), what will we wear? Will we be naked as it was originally? Will we be wearing clothing as they did in Jesus' time? Will we be wearing whatever clothing we are most familiar with (what we're wearing now)? Or will we be wearing something like the angels wear? Is there something in the Bible that tells us/gives a clue?

I have often thought, and am probably wrong, that we would probably appear, dress, sound, etc, how we did on earth at the peak of our life!

For instance, if you were 100 and looked back on your life and were able to choose a year where you were content with your looks, your voice, your favorite clothes, etc, than thats how you would appear!

I suppose this seems a bit commercialistic (is that a word?) for heaven, but hey, its just what I think!

With love,
Simon

Read the bible.
(Rev 6:11) And white robes were given to each one of them. And it was said to them that they should rest yet for a little time, until both their fellow servants and their brothers (those about to be killed as they were ) should have their number made complete.
(Rev 7:9) After these things I looked, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues, stood before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palms in their hands.

(Rev 7:10) And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb.

(Rev 7:11) And all the angels stood around the throne, and the elders, and the four living creatures, and they fell before the throne on their faces and worshiped God,

(Rev 7:12) saying, Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever. Amen.

(Rev 7:13) And one of the elders answered, saying to me, Who are these who are arrayed in white robes, and from where do they come?

(Rev 7:14) And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation and have washed their robes, and have whitened them in the blood of the Lamb.

I imagine they will be quite comfy eh? I could deal with wearing a nice light weight robe for eternity.

Yes, now that I recall, don't angels wear all white too? Seems to be the norm in heaven! I wonder what material they are made out of and who makes them... maybe some of the angels and saints have a club where they knit newcomers robes! ^_^

If I had to make an earthly example it would be made out of silk by THIS GUY.
Of course It would pale in comparison... still...

The white robes could simply be a symbol for Christ's nature.

That would be my GUESS...

It seems to ME that clothes are a direct result of sin, shame and separation from God. Such will not exist in heaven.

Are you suggesting there is a GAP between us and God? That our relationship is LIMITED by sin? That in our rebellion, we established our own little BANANA REPUBLIC apart from God's Kingdom?

Hmmm....I'm having trouble coming up with something for ABERCROMBIE & FITCH.

White... There are two different items that are worn in Heaven by the saints. The first is a "Robe of Righteousness". And the second is a "Gown of Redemption"

Maybe clothes were a result of the knowledge of good and evil? Do you suppose that we will give up that knowledge? How do you deal with the scripture that specifically states that the Saints triumphant will wear white robes?
