Okay so my parent's dog died today and I couldn't help but pray for him after I was done crying. I don't really know if Jesus takes care of our pets after they die and if my prayers were in vain or not. But, I know that after humans die we get to be with Jesus so maybe our pets get to be with Jesus too? Just where do animals go after they die? Do animals have spirits and souls like we do? Are all animals saved since they didn't fall like humans did? Just so many questions that the bible doesn't really have the answer to.

"The Bible does not give any explicit teaching on whether pets/animals have “souls” or whether pets/animals will be in heaven. However, we can use general biblical principles to develop some clarity on the subject. The Bible states that both man (Genesis 2:7) and animals (Genesis 1:30; 6:17; 7:15, 22) have the “breath of life”; that is, both man and animals are living beings. The primary difference between human beings and animals is that humanity is made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27), while animals are not. Being made in the image and likeness of God means that human beings are like God, capable of spirituality, with mind, emotion, and will, and they have a part of their being that continues after death. If pets/animals do have a “soul” or immaterial aspect, it must therefore be of a different and lesser “quality.” This difference possibly means that pet/animal “souls” do not continue in existence after death.

Another factor to consider regarding whether pets will be heaven is that animals are a part of God’s creative process in Genesis. God created the animals and said they were good (Genesis 1:25). Therefore, there is no reason why there could not be pets / animals on the new earth (Revelation 21:1). There will most definitely be animals during the millennial kingdom (Isaiah 11:6; 65:25). It is impossible to say definitively whether some of these animals might be the pets we had while here on earth. We do know that God is just and that when we get to heaven we will find ourselves in complete agreement with His decision on this issue, whatever it may be."

Do pets / animals go to Heaven? Do pets / animals have souls?

so maybe our pets get to be with Jesus too?
NO.
Just where do animals go after they die?
THEIR MORTAL BODIES/INSTINCTS END.NO AFTERLIFE.
Do animals have spirits and souls like we do?
NO. ONLY MANKIND AND ANGELS AND GOD HAVE IMMORTAL SPIRITS.
Are all animals saved since they didn't fall like humans did?
NO SIN. NO NEED FOR SALVATION.
Just so many questions that the bible doesn't really have the answer to.
EXACTLY. IF A ZOO EXISTED IN HEAVEN, GOD WOULD HAVE REVEALED THAT FACT.

Q: What happens to animals after they die?
A: Same as humans; their soul remains in the spiritual realm. But not having a moral attribute in their souls as humans do, they don't cling to sin, evil, wickedness, and depravity as humans do and, thus, will not follow Satan into the lake of fire as unredeemed humans will.

Scripture doesn't even really say much at all about what happens to us when we die, let alone other creatures. Though the Christian hope is in the future resurrection and life in the age to come when God makes all things new--the language Scripture uses to speak of that glorified future existence includes mention of animal life, the wolf laying down with a lamb, the leopard laying down with the kid goat, the lion eating straw like an ox. That would indicate that God isn't going to abandon any of His creation. But as to the question whether or not we will see our pets in the Age to Come, that's impossible to know because nothing like that is told to us one way or another. I certainly hope and pray that this is so.
