WHAT DOES THE OUTER AND INNER MAN , MEAN ?

2 Cor 4:16 reads Therefore , we do not lose courage , but since even our OUTER MAN is being utterly CORRUPTED yet our INNER ( MAN ) is being made NEW .

#1 Paul is the ONLY that I have seen that talks about the OUTER and INNER MAN .

#2 We do not lose courage .

#3 The OUTER MAN is being Utterly corrupted .

#4 The INNER MAN is being made NEW .

#5 We also see that the Outer and INNER man occupying the believer at the same time .

#6 We are indwelled by the Godhead .

Paul uses the term inner man several times in his epistles (2 Corinthians 4:16; Ephesians 3:16). Romans 7:22–23 says, “For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body.” The “inner man” is another way of describing the spiritual aspect of a person. Further along these lines, I add that both the id and the superego influence the ego. While the ego is being freed from the reign of the id, it is also essential that the superego is renewed in submission to God and the command of love. Otherwise, the superego, produced through parental and societal guidance, is not pure.

Under the Old Covenant of the Law, God literally promised Israel that if they obey him, they will never fall sick (Deuteronomy 7:15, Exodus 15:26)

So healing of their outer man is promised upon obeying the Law.

Like many writings of Paul, this verse tells us that God is working differently today. Sicknesses and healings are no longer promised to us, God's work today is in our inner man.

As Paul talked about. The things we want to do we don't do yet the things we don't want to do we do. Flesh has not been changed. We put on the new man which is created in righteousness and true holiness. That is who we are. As Paul or the sweet sweet holy Spirit was saying is no longer I that sin but sin that is in me.

All of Gods promises are yes and amen. What Christ did when He was walking this earth still happens today. Isa 53:5, 1st Peter 2:24, all the gifts. Signs follow them that believe period. Peter and John do we think they had some greater power or something no other believer has? They told that man to look at them. The word tell us that man expected to receive something from them. Some really need to look into why God made sure that was written They said don't have any silver or gold but what I do have give I unto you in JESUS name.

After this all the people were looking at them. So they said "why do you look at us as if we did this under or by our own power? That name faith in that name healed that man.". That would be impossible and a lie to say that cannot happen any more. Faith in that name. I had a dream a few years ago and all He said was "you do not evoked/speak the name of Jesus enough". HAHA praise GOD glory to Jesus.. not something the enemy would ever tell us. Blind still see deaf hear dead walk...today.. I cant be the only one that seen these and heard the countless stories. Granted here in the US doubt is strong and its written if you doubt let not that man think he will get anything from God.

So the new man is what we put on.. that is the real you. It was made new. Then when we see Him as He is we will be made like Him. He comes the dead rise? All still sleeping are they? What He says now "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."

Blind still see deaf hear dead walk...today.. I cant be the only one that seen these and heard the countless stories. Granted here in the US doubt is strong and its written if you doubt let not that man think he will get anything from God.

So if what you say is true, those countless stories indicated that our outer man is being healed by God?

For much of my life, relatively, I've seen and met and talked with OTHERS, not ONLY one nor even a few, who talked freely with me and others about the outer and the inner man. As for understanding, that is given freely and without charge by the Father in heaven, from heaven, to us his little children abiding in Jesus.

I am studying what Paul has written and as I have said PAUL is the only one that writes about the INNER and OUTER man and that does make Paul UNIQUE as what is despensationalism and the authority to speak for the B O C and also to forgive in the person of Jesus Christ .

Jesus does.
I do.
Watchman Nee does, even from the grave/ by his testimony and books and teachings.
Honest followers of Jesus do, every day.
Keith Green did too.
and Charles Chiniquoy.
and David Wilkerson.
and so on, many others some known and many unknown.
How many ? I don't know. Jesus knows.

I have some that believe what Paul wrote in 1 Cor 3:6 I ( Paul ) planted , Apollos watered .

All that PLANT , means the message that Paul taught , Eph 3:3-5 are not to reap much as Paul's message was the MYSTERY and most fight against it .
