The pictures tell a different story.
Quick image search. Yep totally white. Both of them.

I see belly buttons in the images too.
That's the academic version.

You know how they like to drive home their theories with pictures.

You have no idea what "artist's impression" means, do you?
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, this says a lot.

What's that old saying?

"I heard and I forgot. I saw and I remembered. I did and I understood."

After this thing made the headlines, it reinforced to a "sleeping public" that evolution is alive and well on Planet Earth, and that there are "missing links" in the earth, awaiting discovery.

Then, after the public had been "jolted awake," scientists discovered it was a mistake.

But the damage had been done by giving the public -- us commoners -- a taste of what evolution is.

Except that is a piece of art based on actual remains that people have studied.

They have their bones and they have their genes.

Binomen please?
In guessing Homo neanderthalensis... but there are other non Homo sapiens hominids who are evidenced to have existed in that kind of environment.

Personally I don't think Adam and Eve ever existed... but in the Creationist narrative the only evidence for them is the oral history that was inspired to be copied down and eventually become the Old Testament.

Why would scientists label a Homo neanderthalensis a Hesperphiticus haroldcookii?

And if they didn't, what's that guy in that picture? Neanderthal or Cookii?

And if it's Cookii, why did you say this:

Something's wrong in Hong Kong.

There's always one. ;)

While toungue in cheek, the post was not without a level of seriousness.
I reported that picture as "Erotic Artwork."

But it does bring out a point: the navels.

I can never use that phrase again :( .

Guess a navel would be to Adam what tree rings would be to brand new grown trees.

I was talking to my YEC nephew the other day and pointing out flaws in Linnaeus' classification system vis-à-vis what the Bible has to say.

I used two of my favorite examples: fish and dinosaurs.

While the whale is a mammal that has lungs, the fish is an animal with gills; yet Jonah calls it a "whale," whereas Jesus calls it a "great fish."

Conclusion: Science is flawed.

The other example is Behemoth.

While the dinosaur is an egg-laying reptile, the mammal gives birth through the birth canal.

Yet Job speaks of a Behemoth's navel.

Conclusion: Science is flawed.

Easy, evidence.

Your latest party trick, Nebraska Man, was a mistake from limited evidence.

Remember when I stated they had the bones and the genes? Well, one worn tooth and no ability to determine genome isn't equivalent.

Multiple sets of remains with treatable DNA is significant. And that's what the Neanderthal has.

Adam and Eve have no such thing. If the Bible is literally accurate, then it is because of divine intervention and not because it's based on evidence.

I didn't say one word about Neanderthal, did I?

Instead, I showed a picture of Cookii -- not even the same kind (genus) as Neanderthal either.

What gives here?

Only because you can't trace their DNA back that far.

Science is myopic.

Finally! A light bulb comes on!

Kudos to you, chief! Your elevator goes all the way to the attic!

Jonah doesn't call it a whale though....

KJV, ISV and NIJ all have it as 'fish'.

Bible Gateway, with 60+ versions of the Bible listed, doesn't even have a translation with 'whale' in the Book of Jonah:

Jonah 1:17 - Bible Gateway

You're absolutely right.

Thanks for the correction!

This is what I get for relying on my memory!

Jonah 1:17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
