U.S. airport Non-U.S. Citizen Document Validation Using CBP One Technology,

“CBP One” refers to the mobile application launched in October 2020 that allows migrants to pre-plan their appointments with U.S. customs officials.

What is CMP One and how does it work? This is the website I found but I didn't research any further.
Do you or others understand why a TSA photo wouldn't be considered necessary?

Their rational seems to be that they would rely on border patrol identification, we know that border control has in the past issues arrest warrants and TSA was accepting those as ID. An extra link like that is ripe for causing problems.

You haven't explained what the CBP One Technology is or how it works. If you know please explain.

From what I understand (if anyone had additional information please feel welcome to chime in) it's a free mobile application, it could be used on Google or Apple. In my opinion, the idea is to get as many from other nations into our country as they can. People that come from places like Haiti or Venezuela and Cuba can just fill in the information before they come to the United States. They can even take a selfie. They make an appointment to be processed at a point of entry to the United States. You fill in information, just like you might with Walmart or whoever if you wanted to make an appointment to get a COVID immunization shot.

So the whole point of CBP One is to set up appointments for migrants to meet with migration officials before they are allowed to enter the country. They have ID numbers that match the CBP One records.
What I don't understand is the point of this thread, the photograph choice. Maybe it's because the TSA records are not saved?
It doesn't make any sense to me why there isn't a photo ID taken and saved. It seems to me it would be very easy for criminals to misuse the system but maybe I still don't have all the information about how the system works and what further ID etc, is done by the CBP.

Thanks for your response.
