Donald Trump knows that when he leaves the White House he's not welcome in NYC. He's planning to move his residence to his Mar-a-Lago (Sea to Lake) estate in Palm Beach. He may not be welcome there either. In the 90s, he converted the 17 acre property into a members-only private club. The city of Palm Beach required that club members sign an agreement that no one can reside at the estate for more than 21 days per year. At least one neighbor is alleging that Trump--even though the property owner-- is legally a club member and is bound by the 21-day residence restriction. Sounds like another court battle on the horizon.

So if it turns out that he can only live 3 weeks in Palm Beach, where else can he go? He's popular in Israel. I'll bet he can find a nice villa in Tel Aviv right on the Mediterranean. For a lot less money, his buddy Kim Jong Un can probably get him a palace in N. Korea. If he wants a summer place, I'm sure Vlad Putin can set him up in a nice countryside dacha.

No one can kick a property owner off his land. Id sale it in a heartbeat if someone threatened me with that. Work somewhere else. You have 30 days to vacate.

I’m a Trump supporter and I never think about where he lived, lives or will live.

I think it is disgusting that hate goes beyond the original grievance. Leave him alone! He's gone now forget him. You won! So what is their problem???

There's an object lesson here. Donald Trump has an extremely narcissistic personality. All of his problems-- both in his business and political dealings--he brought on himself. You might recall some scripture:

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Galatians 6:7 (KJV)

He has a right to live wherever he wants. There are very few reasons why a person should be put out of there home if they can afford it. Don't throw stones. Don't judge lest you be judge. Love your neighbors. Disgusting!!!

After what he has done, he doesn't deserve our pity.

"Not welcome"in NYC? In reality, loads of people are fleeing NYC in droves.
It's no surprise that a man in his 70s would move to Florida instead of back to New York. He's been there as a resident almost every winter anyway. In 1993, he was in his prime and didn't want to reside there full time, having a house in New York. Time and age changes things.

So ONE neighbor is challenging this, despite the nonstop drivel from CNN and its ilk and social media that "NO ONE" wants Trump in their neighborhood.

"Attorney Reginald Stambaugh sent a letter this week to the Town of Palm Beach saying he represents a neighbor who doesn't want the president to take up residence at the 17-acre property because it would decrease the area's property values. He also asserts that a microwave security barrier operated by the Secret Service is harming his client, who he says is exhibiting symptoms of microwave exposure. He did not give the client's name."

Is the owner a mere club member, giving up rights of ownership to occupy his own property? That is the legal question.

Mar a Lago is not a home. It's a business, and he signed an agreement not to live in it as a home. He legally cannot spend more than one week at a time living there.
(Edit) Ok rereading the OP. It's less clear, as a member of the club he is technically banned from spending more than three weeks living there. But he is the owner as well, with an apartment on site. The case won't go anywhere.

Oh, he's more than welcome in NYC. The local pols want to convict him of something, anything. But he's already changed his residence to his home in Florida.

Because it's not his home.

Maybe you should read the article to understand the LEGAL DOCUMENT that he willingly signed back in 1993, that turned the old Marjorie Merriweather Post mansion, which was used as a legal residence, into a country club, which is a business.

The LEGAL DOCUMENT says no one can "reside" at Mar-A-Lago for more than 21 days in a year.

According to the document, the city of Palm Beach as numerous legal avenues to make the business owners (trump) abide by the agreement. It will be interesting to see which ones they use.

Of course, we all know that trump doesn't think laws and legal agreements apply to him.

3500 lawsuits against him by small business, contractors and investors to try to force him to do the right thing demonstrates that.

So, someone can escape conviction for crimes in one state by just driving across a state border to another state here in the US?

You really think trump hiding out in Mar-A-Lago will save him from tax, bank and wire fraud in New York?

So if no one can legally live there, can anyone legally vote there? (Has trump added voter fraud to his collection?)

I thought he was considering leaving the US if he lost.

Surely he has an actual residence in Florida since he declared that he moved his residency there. You do need proof of residency to register to vote and if he cannot declare Mar a largo as an actual residence, I hope he has another, or he may have committed voter fraud by declaring Florida as his place of residence.

Since when has a legal document or contract ever meant anything to the Most Christian President ever elected?

Reside as a club member. He keeps a separate apartment as the owner.
