Thank you, President Trump.
She was Florida AG from 2011 to 2019. And she did a great job in reducing drug deaths? Well, let's look here and check the figures: https://www.flhealthcharts.gov/ChartsDashboards/rdPage.aspx?rdReport=NonVitalInd.Dataviewer&cid=9869 Screenshot_20241224-090822_Chrome~2.jpg

Looks like they just about double in the time she was in the wheelhouse. Doesn't sound like a great job to me.

Fair enough...but it has definitely became a crisis after she was AG.
I'll grant that she did good job in solving problems with prescription drugs. In a bipartisan manner. From the previous linked article:

'At one point, seven Floridians per day were dying from prescription opioids.

Across Florida, so-called pill mills were dishing out oxycodone with abandon. These euphemistically-named "pain clinics" were staffed with doctors who prescribed powerful medications without any legitimate reason. Bondi set her sights on shutting down these pill mills and tackling the flow of drugs to them in the first place.'

So credit where credit is due. And will she do a good job as head of the DOJ? Quite probably. She has a good background that makes her suitable. But if the number of drug deaths nearly doubled on her watch in Florida, despite reducing those from prescription drugs, then I think that we can agree that describing her as the 'prefect choice' to reduce fentanyl deaths is nonsensical.

Hmmm...that's very interesting. Thanks for the input.
