Well, he chose her to be his running mate back during the previous election, and for this one, he chose her to be the party's nominee. The delegates for the national convention agreed, supported his endorsement and voted for her.

I'm not trying to be mean here, my dear mother suffered from dementia, but he may barely even know who Harris is. He seems like he needs help finding matching socks.
