A Door Opens
Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and behold, a door opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me, which said, come up hither, and I will show you things which must be hereafter.

Rev 4:1a After this I (John) looked, and behold, a door (entrance Rev 3:7) was opened in heaven (Rev 11:19):

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Eze 1:1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

Rev 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Our Lord Sitting on the Throne

The Rainbow around the Throne
Rev 4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

The Jasper Stone (Clear {others can be Red, Green, Blue, or others)

Rev 21:23 the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Rev 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.

Rev 21:18 And the building of the wall of (built upon) it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto transparent glass.

Rev 21:19 And the foundations of the wall of the city garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald.

Exo 28:17a you shall set in its settings of stones, four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle:

Eze 28:13 You (Lucifer) have been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in you the day that you were created (by God)

The Rainbow Around the Throne

Rev 4:3b and there was a rainbow round about the throne (Rev 5:1, 6:6, 14:14, Rev 20:11), in sight like unto an emerald (green).

Eze 1:28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard the voice of one that spoke.

The Twenty-Four Elders

Rev 4:4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their head’s crowns of gold.

Rev 4:4 And (1) round about *the throne were (2) four and twenty seats (thrones): and upon the seats I (John) saw four and twenty elders (responsible with wisdom) (3) sitting, (4) clothed in white (purity) raiment (garments); and they (twenty-four elders) had (5) on their head’s crowns (authority Rev 4:10) of gold (Kingship).

Rev 4:10 *The four and twenty elders fall before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that lives for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Rev 4:11 (6) (Elders speak) You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created.

Rev 5:5,6,8 And one of the elders says (7) (Authoritative Participation) unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to lose the seven seals thereof. Rev 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, amid the throne and of the four beasts, and amid the elders, stood a Lamb as it was dead, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. Rev 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders (8) fell down before the Lamb, (9) having every one of them harps, (10) and golden vials full of odors, (11) (Association with Saints) which are the prayers of saints.
