Romans 8:
I am writing from personal experiences: The Spirit inspires us to groan. Ellicott explained:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
1 Corinthians 6:When the Christian’s prayers are too deep and too intense for words, when they are rather a sigh heaved from the heart than any formal utterance, then we may know that they are prompted by the Spirit Himself. It is He who is praying to God for us.
When we are suffering, overwhelmed, and weak, our understanding is limited, and our words can feel inadequate. The indwelling Spirit steps in to intercede for us with spiritual groanings. They transcend human language and express the deepest longings of our hearts in alignment with God’s will.19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.
