K - Thanks, I've been gone for a few days, and also have been hunting for my RESH file, no luck, I'll have to re type it. I'll skip to the SHIN:
The SHIN is symbolic of the SECOND COMING, the consummation of God's Covenant, the FULLNESS of time.
SHIN is the 21st (3x7) letter of the Hebrew Alphabet. It is the 7th letter of the 3rd group of seven letters. It is used for the number 300 and it is made up of 3 "teeth". All of its numbers being of divine perfection and completeness or FULLNESS. It is said to be a picture of teeth, and as such can be the "teeth" of a CROWN or the "teeth" of the flames of a FIRE.
Teeth has the idea of consuming or devouring and so does fire. On the other hand both consuming and fire can be symbolic of PASSION. At His 2nd coming both will be present....His judgment and for His own, his passion.
Shin is also used for "Shadai", and so a symbol of God. ON the Tefillin (Phylacteries) boxes, one side has a regular SHIN, the other a SHIN with 4, instead of the normal 3 prongs. Different explanations are given for the meaning of the 4 pronged SHIN.......some say it is the "missing" 23rd letter, some say it is the feminine and masculine SHINS, etc.
The word SHINah means doubled or SECOND TIME. It also means YEAR. Spelled another way, SHINa means CHANGE. (...and we all shall be CHANGED")
The first use of the word SHIN(teeth) is in a prophecy concerning the coming of Christ as KING (Gen 49:10-12)
Gen 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him [shall] the gathering of the people ....His eyes [shall be] red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
The first word to start with the letter SHIN is HEAVEN, the SECOND word to start with a SHIN is the word SECOND!
The gematria of SHIN is 360, the number of days in a FULL or complete Hebrew YEAR.(SHINah)
