Who would like to find the 8 texts from the New Testament that mention the first day of the week?

Please post them here.

After they are posted, using the BIBLE ALONE, let's see if they indicate that the first day of the week is:

1) holy or sacred
2) "the Lord's day"
3) a day for customary Christian church services
4) a rest day
5) at all mentioned by Jesus Christ
6) a common work day

Please address each issue according to the numbers listed above.

(This thread is not about the seventh-day sabbath, so don't even go there.)

The first five of these references are simply statements concerning the resurrection and its discovery.

These 5 references do not indicate that Sunday, the first day of the week is:
1) holy or sacred
2) "the Lord's day"
3) a day for customary Christian church services
4) a rest day
5) at all mentioned by Jesus Christ

but they may show:
6) a common work day

With the rest of this thread, we will study the other 3 passages. Anyone care to comment before I do?

Text #6 shows that the disciple were together, not to have a resurrection celebration, but because they were afraid of the persecution they may receive from "the Jews." They were assembled "for fear."

This 6th text does not indicate that Sunday, the first day of the week is:
1) holy or sacred
2) "the Lord's day"
3) a day for customary Christian church services
4) a rest day
5) at all mentioned by Jesus Christ

Just 2 more texts to investigate. I welcome any takers. Keep in mind:
(This thread is not about the seventh-day sabbath, so don't even go there.)

So you have started a thread to promote the Sabbath claiming it is not a thread about the Sabbath so do not go there, Like I said in another thread to you, A shroud of deception,

The truth is no day is set above another in the NT and we see people doing things on both Saturday and Sunday, Considering this about Sunday and not the Sabbath can you show me any where after the cross that says we can not worship on Sunday?

Can you show me any verse that gives us the command concerning the day and place where all Christians must worship????

There is no text there to say that we should keep the first day holy and worship on thet day as the Sabbath.

<>< has said this thread is not about the Sabbath, It is about Sunday,

Is there any text in the NT that forbids us to worship on Sunday?

Is there any text in the NT that commands Christians to observe any specific day with any specific commands as to what is permitted and what is forbidden on that day,

Yours in Christ

I'll take this text next:

1 Corinthians 16:2
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

The context reveals no weekly church services. Each person is to save something at home. They are to do financial matters on Sunday, at least. Or possibly, since many were agrarians and farmers, they were to do physical labor in saving up their produce.

This 8th text does not indicate that Sunday, the first day of the week is:
1) holy or sacred
2) "the Lord's day"
3) a day for customary Christian church services
4) a rest day
5) at all mentioned by Jesus Christ

but it does show:
6) a common work day

There is only one text left in all the Bible that can possibly indicate that Sunday is holy, sacred, "the Lord's day," a day for customary Christian church services, a rest day, or even at all mentioned by Jesus Christ.

Ummmm You do realize that you your self have just stated that there were no weekly services, which would mean they did not gather on Saturday either???
