22-year-old high school freshman Taylor Swift has upset some powerful people in her day. Kanye West, when she won "Best Female Video" at the 2009 VMA's. Victoria Gifford Kennedy, when she crashed a Kennedy wedding and tried to touch her rough paws to Kennedy skin ("a handshake," Taylor called it) — how vulgar. But what Taylor didn't realize when she crashed that wedding was that she was crossing a force far more powerful than either Kanye West or Victoria Gifford Kennedy:

Who is at fault here? Is Taylor Swift being judged too harshly? I think her boyfriend needs to stand up for her somehow. And I think that this excuse that Taylor would take the attention off the bride and groom is lame.

I do find Kathie Lee Gifford to be a little bit self-absorbed. If Gifford and her step-daughter and granddaughter are that insecure then I think they have the problem. I'm kind of surprised they admitted to Taylor that they felt she would upstage the party. If they had not wanted Taylor there, they could have stuck to other excuses such as her boyfriend didn't rsvp back saying he was coming - therefore they didn't have enough food. Why admit such insecurities as they were afraid of not getting enough attention? If another relative had crashed the party but not taken attention away from the bride - then they would have accepted that relative?

Not necessarily but the Kennedy's and Giffords can influence our lives. If Kathie Lee doesn't produce a news story because she might not get enough personal attention, that should concern us. If the Kennedy's involved who felt insecure are trying to run our country, their personal problems will affect us eventually.

I still can't believe Kathie Lee would even admit they were feeling insecure. Kind of a stupid thing to do in my opinion.

According to many sites, Swift graduated in 2008. Not sure what they are saying with this. Unless they are saying her music is geared towards young high school students.

This seems like a trivial thing to dwell on but the following comes to my mind:

1) Did Taylor Swift want to crash the party for the purpose of taking over or was she just doing what she would normally do? Was she going to start singing away and everyone would forget about the event at hand? This is the Kennedy's we are talking about. How can anyone take their star away?

2) Why couldn't Kathie Lee have been happy for Taylor and her boyfriend and even tried to befriend the girl? Is she so immature that she can't take the time to do this? Kathie Lee is an older mature Christian lady who should be able to take such things in stride.

3) Were all extra guests treated to the same treatment?

To me, I equate this stupidity with someone announcing to the media that they need to go on welfare because they are hooked on drugs. These people have no shame of even telling the world they are on drugs. Unbelievable to me that people hand their dirty laundry out for the world to see. Why would Kathie Lee, a woman who has set herself up as a role model for the world, even tell the world she is a jealous lady? Why didn't anyone on her daytime program (Hoda didn't seem to do anything but be in agreement with Kathie on the subject) react to her attitude?
