Anybody here like Switchfoot. Those guys are awesome! They are semi-Christian yet their songs have a great message to them.

Yea, they're actually one of my favorite bands, as my siggy says. I see your faith icon is SDA (that's cool!) so am I... but a cool tid-bit, Jerome Fontamillas their keyboardist is a SDA! The guys rock, everything they've done. Its funny how they've moved from almost indie to pretty popular. While their well known in CCM, they are still kinda obscure in secular.

Awesome. I didn't know that the keyboardist is an SDA. What is your favorite song by them. Mine is either Oh gravity or Awakening. That's cool that you are an Adventist and you like rock. Most Adventists say something like rock is evil or something like that. My favorite type of rock is pop rock and punk rock. I listen to some heavy rock too.

Well, some of em do. But if you go to a camp meeting, all the youth will be into pretty hard-hitting stuff. We actually had a rock band at ours and a pop-rock guitarist of Jakob Night did our worship... funny, at JCI I met somebody into underoath, so its really where you're looking. There's even adventist defenses for Christian rock. Anyway. My faveorite song would be hard to chose because I love everything they do. I love the riffs on Stars or the diversity of NWTBH. But anyway, they all rock... I love Amatuer Lovers! Jerome was also the bassist for Fold Zandura and a member of Mortal. But I listen to everything... light accoustic to heavyier stuff like Devil Wears Prada or Underoath or Haste the Day

Semi Christian means that while they do have good lyrics without cussing and such, they do not openly put forth religious stuff in their songs. While you can find religious stuff in it if you look hard enough like in their songs Head over Heels and Yesterday, they don't openly call their band Christian simply because they believe Christianity is a faith not a genre. They are Christian.

Switchfoot is my favorite band (mostly because of who the band members are, but they also have a lot of really good songs).

Favorite song? All of their songs have been a favorite at one time or another, but right now I really like "Your Love Is Strong" (not to be confused with "Let Your Love Be Strong"). I'm not sure why that song is my favorite.

A few people think I'm obsessed, because of my Switchfoot collection and knowledge, but believe me, I'm not nearly as bad as some people on the Switchfoot forums or LoBH.

Switchfoot is a great band! I've gotten to see them live at Creation East 2005 and they're great showman too!

They put on such an awesome live show. Meant to live live is just breath taking!

I thought Semi Christian was hilarious, I laughed, completely caught up in the humor. And now, you ruin it with your logic in the above post. Thats ok, I am still going to laugh at Semi Christian. Hey Ma I got Semi Converted, I'm a Semi Christian. Gosh I am proud of my mediocre stance in life, I am a Semi Christian. Care for some Semi Tracks, read it your gonna be Semi converted. Yea, I saw them live the other day and they do one of, if not, the best shows in the industry. They way the perform, interact, and wear their inner selves on their sleaves for an hour blows my mind. The guys are incredible and will continue to remain among my top bands. I talked to Cool Hand Lukes guitarist for like 5 minutes after the show (AKA Joey) and he is the hugest fan, kinda like me !

Ok Switchfoot is now my favorite CCM group. This distinction is only because Audio Adrenaline will never play again Lets all pray for God to raise up a supergroup that everyone will be blessed by besides Switchfoot.​

I just hope Switchfoot sticks around for life and enjoy making music for God.

I'm not expecting much just hope they reach semilegendary status someday I will be so semipleased. I'm hoping before they are semidead and God takes them to semiheaven (like to see that) they really reach some more and greater heights. They sure are burning brightly now.​

I haven't heard any of their songs in a while, so I forgot what the songs were that I liked. But I did really like the songs.

Seriously Switchfoot is the best Christian rock band out there. Unless you count groups like U2 who are non-christian yet have a christian message.

I do wish Switchfoot had some more ballads though.

Switchfoot is definetly on my top three bands..

my favorite song by them changes a lot, but right now it's Awakening. My all-time favorite is probably Golden.
