Sully erna a christian?

A friend of mine noticed in the song "Shinedown" by Godsmack there are a lot of referances to God like I still belive in immortal love and there is someone up above. For those of you who don't know Sully is a wiccan and I think he is turning it over to God now. What do you guys think?

The lead singer is actually from a different band, but many of the other members of Another Animal are from Godsmack.

As for Sully Erna, i cannot say definitively, and only our King can judge, but I hope he is, his voice is that of a warrior, and his poetry that of a soul crying out for answers and deliverance.

I don't think Sully is turning to god. Sorry. And just to get it out there, being Wicca isn't bad. Many people mistakenly associate it with evil and the devil. Thing is, Wicca was around before Christianity was. They don't believe in the devil or god. Because the Christian god is only in Christianity and Islam. (maybe some others but I only know of those two)
Another thing many people get mixed up. Muslims believe in the same god Christians do. "Allah" is their word for "God". Same as in Spanish "God" is "Dios". Also the same as Jehovah can mean "God". Muslims even liked Jesus. They believe he was a great prophet and they see him as a great man of "God", or "Allah".
I didn't mean to go off the subject a bit there, but it was still along the same lines as my initial comment.

Please excuse my scatter brain writing. Have a lot on my mind and some things aren’t that easy to speak about but to give an understanding of things I thought it’d be helpful. It’s long but worth reading!


I would like to kinda somewhat open this thread or discussion up again. Not that it was closed or anything but I’ve really been listening, observing, thinking, wondering and lastly hoping Sully Erna is it is possibly considering Christianity. I know the band very well. Not like On a personal level but have listened to them for a long time. At one point in time (more so H.S.) Godsmack was one of my favorite bands. In his latest Solo album HOMETOWN LIFE there is a lot... let me put some more understanding and reference on that. In HOMETOWN LIFE it seems (TO ME) there is A LOT of talk about God, being a believer, and that good ol way of life. Ya know where people have (morals, values, self respect and respect for others). I had the feeling that he maybe had somewhat of a turning point in life or something. Also in the album there’s something’s that reference and flat out speak of infidelity in his relationship. (Or whoever’s the song is about) I don’t know if there has been any incidents, interviews, or gossip about him and his beliefs or life changing events since. I wouldn’t mind conducting an interview myself with the man. I am very skeptical of what I see, hear, and read on the internet and news nowadays! Well... hahaha.... even people in person you can’t hardly believe for the most part now days. I grew up in a little farm town in Eastern Washington state. Moses Lake to be specific. However I’ve moved around A LOT. Dad was a Retired/Disabled Marine & my mom didn’t work so they loved to travel. So I wasn’t (sheltered) so to say. My parents were Christians and had me and my sister Taresa in Catholic and Christian private schools when it was possible. Church and youth group Sunday’s and Wednesday’s. When I (was released into wild) moved out of the house at 18 I lived my life as expected but kinda took it to an extreme! Plenty of fun ins with th cops and in return I’ve done a few jail sentences even! (yikes! Kinda seeming like a tyrant now) NEVER!!! NOT 1 single moment have I EVER not believed that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Have I made a lot.... A LOT!!! of bad decisions and things I would do just about anything short of selling my soul to have the chance to change and/or go back in time and do over!?!?!? Hahahahaha.... well I think even the way I worded that just now will give anyone the answer to that. YES! So in short I’ve had A LOT of experience in life! Both good and bad! Had my extremely high HIGHS and my extremely low, close to Hell LOWS! I’ve still never lost faith however. How is that? IDK only God can answer cuz even I can’t. I’ve also had some Extremely crazy things happen to me in the last 10 years. Was involved in a roll over that ejected me from on the vehicle and I rolled with it until I was face down in the sand and my lungs filled full of sand stopping my breathing. They pronounced me D.O.A. and in the ambulance ride to the hospital and small jet ride to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle they pronounced me dead again! They put me on life support and I was in a coma for about 2 weeks in the ICU before coming to. Moving forward a few years both parents died separately and 2 years apart but one strictly cuz (literally no joke) a broken heart. Best friend died in between mom and dad. 6 months after Dad passed my fiancé @ the tim left me. 8 years gone like that! 2 months from the wedding also! Some of our friends almost idolized our relationship. Others said it was like what they make movies and write love stories about! That absolutely destroyed me! I know what it’s like to have just about anything a man can desire including money, possessions, friends, gorgeous women, a loyal woman, popularity, house, and great job and be down right broke as hell living from couch to couch or in a vehicle. I know Christian and non Christian lifestyles. I have a strong feeling though that something has shaken this man! Stirred the pot in his head! Some of the things he talks about and ways he says certain things in this album clearly show it! Maybe it’s just me having recognized this and that’s how I can call it out and see/feel it so much. Maybe it’s a huge coincidence! Idk. I’d really really REALLY enjoy other thoughts on this though. Thanks.
