I saw this very inspiring video by Tyler Perry, playing Madea in a stage performance. Even those movies are silly, Perry is big on some screen plays that teach life lessons. He's also a reverent man and he's on par with what he says right here.

They're right. Although i have issues regarding the Pastor there, etc. The congregation and those online who had issues with this were right in their feedback regarding Tyler Perry even being invited to "preach", even as he "lives with" his girlfriend. it's SIN.

This is a blatant disregard for the living God and a mockery right in His face.

And Joel Osteen is dragging his congregation and all listening online, right into the muck of such an affront and disregard for the living God.

I'm perfectly on topic, and responding to how you defined this person in the OP, that he is a "reverent" man, and apparently used it to "define" why he has any "credibility" at all and therefore should be given any credence for any message in the video.

By the way, you made it about Perry himself, when you defined him as a "reverent" man.

With regards to what he/she was actually saying, it is some good advice albeit common sense for most. When she/he says stop praying... I believe what is being said really is be proactive in your own life with regards to good decisions. I think he/she is overstating an opinion when saying to stop praying because it leads me to believe he/she either negates the power of prayer or wants to remove God in a time of need.

In the end, it was full of common sense dime store cliches and a poor attempt to marginalize the power of God, even though the intention may have been good. But you know what they say about good intentions...
