I never said a trans person (real or portrayed) wouldn’t or couldn’t add to a plot.

Oh no. I was unclear. I only meant that the trans character was the essential element to the plot in The Crying Game.
The character wasn’t just random, if that makes sense.

Just a heads up, I started watching Star Trek Discovery last week and made it to episode 6 before the LGBT content got so bad I just quit watching it.Dang, Dr. Who, and now Star Wars? What's next to be killed off? Star Trek? My favorite sci-fi franchises are getting lobotomized.
End times stuff guys.

I actually watched it on DVD for free from the library in 2023 (not giving a single cent to Paramount+), and was okay with the show, as no pronouns were forced, but yes, Discovery is when Star Trek had to have > three gay characters including Stamets, which is a little overkill.
But yes, I agree with you entirely. But, Doctor Who and Star Wars is the worst nowadays.

The A Team may become the Gay Team at this rate sadly, with all these franchises being transgenderfied.
Edit: Apparently, people have made a gay logo version of the A Team. Glad this is fake though.
