I dont know. Couldve been a Jew..........If the NT says he is Jewish then I guess he is..lol. I dont really believe in Jesus....I kinda believe he existed but then again I dont believe half of the stuff about him.

Muslims also share the prophets with us. They even share the Messiah with us (Muslims do believe that Jesus is the Messiah). Do they also worship a common god with Christians?

Not if the messianic is jewish by birth. The first christians were jews and I don't think a jew who converts to christianity would be dishonest in wearing the messianic symbol.

It would be, if the said Jew tried to pass of his belief as legtimate Judaism, which christanity is not.

I do believe he was Jewish and I believe his early followers were Jewish. If I do read the New Testament, I read it as what I think it is, a work of propaganda. I use propaganda in a neutrle sense, meaning it isn't a bad or a good thing.

A muslem who used to be on this board said they did, it is just a theological difference but that's a big theological difference. I don't think they do but if muslims, christians and jews all worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob then we all worship the same God.

Isn't the star of David a national simbol as well as a religious one. If the messianic was proud of his nationality would it be rude for him to wear it?

But wouldn't that be a lot like wearing an American flag? Being the anti-patriot that I am (and a bit of an iconoclast), I don't see why anyone would want to wear a national symbol as he would a religious symbol. It sounds rather idolatrous to me.

That said, I don't take issue with Jewish Christians who retain their cultural identity. I do take issue when Gentiles try to pretend that they're Jewish.
