So far, at least nine judges, including one Trump appointee, have called a halt to Trump executive actions

Sure I can; they break the rules they pay the price. Trump, Biden, etc breaks the rules there is no reporting mechanism for that.

Sure it does; someone might believe the lie and act on it. It affects us all.

You tell us a way to stop him and all the others and I will. Till then there is nothing I can do.
You really are making quite an effort to ignore the point being made. I could lie to you all day in the forum and there's no comeback. One doesn't get a smack on the wrist for bending the truth. If that were the case, then the numbers who post here would be drastically curtailed.

And it doesn't harm you. Not in the slightest.

And nobody is saying it's your responsibility to stop Trump lying (but we'll all note the tacit admission that he does). Just as it's not your responsibility to stop me or anyone else lying in the forum. But you've just called out others who lie. You say it's not acceptable. So let's hear your opinion on Trump. Are the lies he tells (some of which most definitely affect you) somehow acceptable?

Just following your examples. You talk to me honestly and you will get the same from me. Wanna be cute?.....I can be cute too.
I could lie to you all day in the forum
Wow, and here I thought.....
and there's no comeback
There's always a comeback; you just haven't figured that out yet.
One doesn't get a smack on the wrist for bending the truth.
You are right; sometimes/frequently they get elected to office.
If that were the case, then the numbers who post here would be drastically curtailed.
And it is too bad that they are not. I wouldn't have to spend so much time here responding to lies.
But you've just called out others who lie. You say it's not acceptable.
And I will continue to do that.
So let's hear your opinion on Trump. Are the lies he tells (some of which most definitely affect you) somehow acceptable?
Was there anywhere in that statement that I excluded or excepted him or anyone for that matter? I don't think so.
IIRC on one of these forums you said you were an attorney. If that is true you should be able to read something and understand it for what it says and/or doesn't say without trying to re-interpret it to conform it to your own beliefs. That can be a real benefit in a place like this......

You've never called him out. Period. So many in this forum simply refuse to do so even though they have so many opportunities.

I really don't know whether it's a case of really believing that he's not lying - which I find exceptionally hard to understand, or people really just don't care. Which is equally perplexing - but a lot more concerning. Why is this normal behaviour? In any other country it would be called out. I'm not dumb enough to think that politicians don't put a spin on a lot of what they say but an outright lie would see you lose your position down here.

From here: When should politicians resign? Here's what Australia said

'In fact, 94 per cent of us believe that a politician who is caught lying to the Australian people should resign their position...Historically, ministers have been forced to resign from their portfolios over lies or expenses scandals.

For example, the Howard government lost seven ministers in its first year.'

And here: Welsh Government commits to banning lying in politics

'The Welsh Government has made history by committing to outlaw political deception. In a move heralded by campaigners as a significant development in the fight to restore faith in democracy, the government confirmed that it will introduce legislation before the next Senedd election in 2026 to ban candidates and members of the Welsh Parliament from deliberately lying to the public.'

Answer the question and we can continue. Otherwise, not worth my time.
All you included were specifically those in the forum. Which doesn't logically follow that you excluded Trump. So are you including or excluding Trump. Are you going to call him out when he lies or obfuscate in order to avoid having to do that?

Yeah, you didn't exclude or include him. I read that. In other words, you haven't called him out whenever he's lied to you.

If you ask me, it's the fault of the veto power. This article did a lot to convince me of this:

(see particularly section 3, "Getting Broad Powers While Evading Review")
Thank you for posting that article. It was an interesting paper and yes, I can see that the presidential veto can prevent Congress operating as representatives of the people. (Btw I liked the term "charmingly impotent Elizabeth II", but that is what our monarch is. They have virtually no power and have to stay out of party politics. I see it as an advantage as it gives us a figurehead who, when we are divided politically - such as over Brexit - can be a unifying force. Also when they have State visits, or go abroad, they represent us, not a political viewpoint.)

It seems as if Trump is becoming an Imperial President, and for your system to work as the Founding Fathers intended, it needs someone of integrity (whichever party) and calm diplomacy in the White House, to use the veto for the good of the country not for political or personal bias. I imagine previous incumbents have met this criteria. The ones I can remember - Johnson onwards - seem to have done so, from what I've seen from across the Atlantic. (Nixon debacle excepted.)

Thanks be to SCOTUS to give Presidents the power to do as they please.
If Congress didn’t want President Trump to decimate the federal workforce, and take the power of the purse, the House would sue…that the House hasn’t sued, is an indication that it’s fine with the Legislative Branch. And they’re the only ones that would have “standing”.

Sure it does; someone might believe the lie and act on it. It affects us all.

“All Cretans are liars!” ?
Okay, yes, all politicians “lie”.
But if Lying were an Olympic sport…

Trump’s whole MO is to come in, talk-the-talk, let other people do things and fight amongst themselves while he plans on how to come out smelling like roses. He’s brilliant at this schtick. I wish him well.

If Someone finds gaining power “fun”, then obtaining more power would amp that fun.
Then they could do anything that they might like, even if it’s unpopular, at first.

But President Trump’s got the rei(g)ns, until January 20, 2029, at noon. And not a second more.

I don't know if you've seen last year's film Civil War. If I'd seen it ten years ago it would have been on par with White House Is Down or some other hokey good-guy-saves-the-presidency. That is, mindless if enjoyable entertainment. Black hats and white hats. Hollywood shoot 'em up.

If you haven't seen it then I might suggest you don't. I thought it was excellent (with some flaws). But in other films the audience knows who the good guys are and who the bad ones are. It's obvious. We're all cheering for the steely eyed hero and some Morgan Freeman type president who we want to survive.

In this one...I can see people picking sides.

I watched the Trailer about a dozen times - I was so fascinated by the premise.
Then Trump one - and now I don't know that I want to watch it any more. It's too real!

If Trumps presidency is the failure the left thinks it's going to be then the Democrats win the next one in a landslide. Including the house and senate. It would be best for them to lose the midterms as well because otherwise they will be seen as obstructionist and won't get as big a victory.

Federal judge denies DOJ request to delay Trump admin paying nearly $2B in foreign aid to nonprofits

Judge Amir Ali said the administration violated a court order.

U.S. District Judge Amir Ali denied the Department of Justice's request to push the midnight deadline by which the Trump administration needs to pay more than $1.9 billion in foreign aid.

‘Unlawful’ suspension of USAID funding probably violated Constitution, judge says

U.S. District Judge Amir H. Ali in a ruling blocked the administration from withholding payment of foreign aid funds authorized by Congress, which has caused delays in lifesaving food and medicine in impoverished areas around the world.

Yeah, you didn't exclude or include him. I read that. In other words, you haven't called him out whenever he's lied to you.
It is rather surprising that you are unable to understand something for what it says or does not say. IIRC, I didn't offer exclusions to anyone, did I?.....although you probably missed that part. You know you can take classes to help with reading comprehension.....just a suggestion.

Well, it is not quite that broad but at least know it is on the books; better that than nothing at all.
“All Cretans are liars!” ?
I don't know specifically about 'Cretans' but we are fallen beings; we do wrong even when we know we are doing wrong. It is the sin nature in us.
But if Lying were an Olympic sport…
....there would be a very long list of 1st place finishers......
